And this is why I trust in Baalke/Harbaugh. I'm an idiot. |
People were panning our entire draft that year. Aldon, Kaep, Cully, Miller in the 7th (an OLB converted to FB, really??). Then that FA period in August when the lockout ended and we let guys like David Baas, Manny Lawson go sign with other teams. People started predicting 2-14 because of losing those guys
Ironically one of the picks everyone liked was Ronald Johnson, he of those 0 NFL catches : _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6 |

Mayock had him ranked as a sixth rounder and too many ran with it. I didn't watch Cully at SC so I didn't rip the pick. _________________

I had us drafting him in the sixth round as a safety.
I liked him, but I didn't see this kind of potential in him. I really liked Aldon Smith though. _________________ saintsfan on the sig

Cully and T Brown really have some good ball skills, his ball swatting this past week made me go WOW! haha same with Goldson's a while back too.
now if only he can turn some of those swats into INT's i'd be more happy =p |

He got a similar reaction as the Michael Mitchell pick. I'll admit I hated it too, but what the hell do I know. _________________

I watch CFB but don't know every guy who's good so I just roll with our picks usually. I'm glad we got him though. I remember thinking 3rd round cb seems fine. We needed cbs anyway. _________________

I thought he would be a back-up corner/safety and special teams ace just because of his size and speed....and wondered why we would pick a guy like that in the 3rd.
Never imagined he'd be this good. |

lol come on man you acting like he "shut down" his receivers!!! The saints are just running the ball on us and when they do throw someone has been too wide open to throw to anyone else.

Of the 66 CBs who have played 500+ snaps, Chris Culliver has allowed the least amount of receiving yards (256). #49ers @Cullyinthehouse |
