If we win next week we clintch it .

We would be 4-1 in the division and outmatch the bears so worst case would be 6th seed for sure.

So all the teams vikes -giants etc if we tied up at 9-7 we be in the playoff based on alot of NFC wins and would be 4-1 in the division .

5-1 would solidified division title.

Redskins beat Browns, take division lead

Washington beats Cleveland, 38-21, as backup QB Kirk Cousins plays the entire game in place of Robert Griffin III. The Redskins have moved into first place in the NFC East via tiebreaker advantage over the New York Giants.

I actually found a freaky scenario where we're the 2 seed. For this to occur:
1. We need to win both our last 2 games.
2. Packers lose both games
3. Seahawks win this week, beat the 49ers next week, and lose to the Rams the last week
4. 49ers lose out
5. Giants lose to the Eagles week 17.
6. Bears lose to the Cardinals week 16.

Would be nice! My friend wouldn't miss a playoff game at Fed Ex.

But let's take it one game at a time. Still two games to play.

If we go 10-6 we would have homefield advantage against Seattle or Chicago/minny/49ers .

But the cowboys just won man they are getting very annoying i dont think the giants beat the ravens but I believe we will win next week I care more about title now more than anything. Too long now we have had to play at other stadiums in the playoffs my dream is to beat Seattle at home for a playoff revenge.

It's very simple.

The Giants should beat both their remaining opponents. The Ravens are a struggling team atm. The Cowboys are playing inspired football, and can beat anyone right now. Otherwise, Seattle looks like they have their wildcard locked down, and it's going to be tough to out both the Bears and the AP carried Vikings.

If the Redskins want to make the playoffs, they have to win the next two games. Two for two. That is what it is going to take, nothing less.

Alright according to NFL.

Heres how the NFC East Crown will be decided.

- If the Giants win out week 16 and 17 and BOTH the redskins and the cowboys finish 9-7 they make the playoffs.

- If redskins win out that means they won week 16 and 17 and make the playoffs.

- Dallas has the same situation as the redskins.

UPDATE: If it is a three way division tie for 9-7 Cowboys win the NFC East

How so? Per NFL.com's tiebreaker page, a three way tie is broken first:
Quote:
Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs).

If the Redskins beat Dallas but lose to Philly, Dallas is out:
DAL: NYG-W, NYG-L, WAS-L, WAS-L = 1-3
NYG: DAL-L, WAS-W, DAL-W, WAS-L = 2-2
WAS: NYG-L, NYG-W, DAL-W, DAL-W = 3-1 <<

If we flip it (PHI W, DAL L), then all three are 2-2 amongst each other. The second tiebreaker:
Quote:
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.

DAL = 3-3
NYG = 2-4 or 3-3 (the Eagles game doesn't really matter for the purposes of this conversation; it matters a lot for wild card considerations)
WAS = 4-2 <<

Dallas would be 4-2 in the division, Woz. The next tiebreaker is common games, which Dallas owns over us. Simply enough, if we don't beat Dallas week 17, we ain't winning the division.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we clinch a wild card spot week 16 if...
1. Washington defeat Philadelphia
2. New York loses to Baltimore
3. Chicago loses to Arizona
4. Minnesota loses to Houston.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this! I've done pretty much every scenario on the scenario playoff machine. I cannot find a way where we don't make it in, regardless of what Dallas or Seattle do the next 2 weeks.
