Because none of our Wide Receivers run a sub 4.40 40, they all suck.
Seems legit. _________________

This is pure schmuck bait. The Pats have the #1 offense in the league. Who cares if the receivers don't pass the NBT boner test? _________________

Quit playing. I am pretty sure you all cared when we lost to the Jets in 2010, and to the giants in last years Super Bowl? True or false?
If we lose a playoff game because yet again, the safeties play up while the LB's blitz, and we have no receiver who can get vertical, do not cry about it. I'm taking care of the crying right now! And hope someone hears it and answers it to make NBT feel better!

Just to throw some love NBT's way...I get where he's coming from. Obviously our offense is fine, better than fine even, but I watch Vincent Jackson and Megatron and Marshall out muscling CBs and plucking jump-balls out of the air and I get a little jealous.
It would be nice to have a pure size/speed WR. _________________

We lost the super bowl because our defense couldn't get a key stop. Not because of a lack of a better wide receiver. _________________

A better wide receiver, and the defense is never in that position. _________________

I'm sorry. There's no way you can put that loss on the defense. They held the Giants in check long enough to give our #1 ranked offense the ball with the lead with a chance to run out the clock and clinch the win. _________________

The offense did its job on their final drive in 07. Moss caught the go-ahead TD.
Not making any judgments on the full game performance from the offense (which was underwhelming to say the least), but they did their job in crunch time, which is more than you could say for the 2011 offense. _________________

1. I'm considering the game as a whole, not just "crunch time." The 2007 offense was almost a shell of its regular season self in the playoffs
2. NBT's point was that with an elite WR, the Pats offense would be unstoppable in the playoffs - citing 2010 as an example. The 2007 offense was better than 2010 (and 2011 for that matter) and had Randy "Elite Hamstrings" Moss and STILL got shut down. |

Plus...Moss was open and a few inches from winning the game on the very last drive.
Hate thinking about that. _________________

Doesn't change the fact that the record-setting offense, with Randy Moss, was mostly shut down by a good but not historically great defense. |
