Are you kidding me!! Johnny Football just won the Heisman Trophy!!
Ugh!! SMH!!!!
He is the first Freshman to win the award.
I really wanted Te'o to win it!!
Manziel totaled 474 first place votes, Te’o had 321 and Klein had 60. Manziel also won five of the six voting regions, notably winning the midwest and southeast regions. _________________

He's not a true Freshman, he's a Red-shirt freshman.
I thought Te'o was also deserving - overall I thought this was a weak class. Although only missing two tackles all year is amazing. _________________

I have been going back and forth for weeks on whether the Heisman should go to Manziel or Collin Klein. _________________

As solid as Te'o has been, he didn't deserve the Heisman. He was a very solid player, but his play wasn't more dominant than guys like Suh, Willis, or many other high profile defensive players. In fact, I'd argue that Jarvis Jones and Marqise Lee were far and away more deserving than ANY of the finalists this year, but the losses on their respective teams prevented anyone from paying close attention. _________________

I'd add Jadeveon Clowney to that group. _________________

+1 for both of you guys.
Teo was probably the 3rd best player on his own defense this season tbh. Nix and Tuitt played better than he did... _________________

I think we should give the kid the credit he deserves rather than diminishing his accomplishment.
He did have a better year than 2 former Heisman winners (Tebow, Newton)
He stepped up in the biggest game of the year, and showed he deserved the Trophy rather than folding like Barkley, Smith, and Klein. _________________

Manziel had 300 more yards than Cam did the year he won the Heisman......in two less games.
And he beat Bama.
Thats enough for me. _________________

Agreed. I was amazed by him when he played Arkansas. It was the first time I had seen him play and I was really impressed. Doing what he did and doing it in the SEC is better than anything anyone else did this year. _________________

In short, yes. He isn't going to be a good NFL player |
Agreed. I don't think he'll have a good pro career. But at the college level, he is very damn good and that's what the Heisman is all about. _________________

Christ, the myth of him playing better than Tebow and Newton is unreal how much ESPN has manipulated this.
Johnny Football - while exciting to watch, absolutely crapped the bed against UF and LSU. _________________
