Johnny Football - while exciting to watch, absolutely crapped the bed against UF and LSU. |
But he beat 'Bama. So he has that going for him, which is nice. _________________

Of course. And he's a Redshirt Freshman who wasn't even expected to start. It's a wonderful story. But he isn't the second coming. _________________

But he promised to work harder than anyone to be the best entertainer in college football.
See, he is like Tebow and Newton combined. Call him Johnny Newbow. _________________

Hey, when you gotta go... You gotta go.
Personally, I think the only reason he won was because A&M moved to the SEC. If he put up the exact same numbers in the Big 12, Te'o probably would have won. _________________ Quote from May 7, 2013...

I completely agree, and for a different reason. Given the Big 12's advantage of overall depth and fewer Top 10 teams, A&M might've had more losses and no high profile wins. _________________

He was recruited by Mike Sherman, not Kevin Sumlin. Only 3 teams recruited his as a QB: A&M, Stanford, and Oregon. Most other schools wanted to turn him into a DB. The kid has 3 years to improve, and it should be fun to see how he progresses.
T_O7, the UF was only his 2nd game so he gets a pass on that game, but he did crap his pants against LSU. Despite how badly he played they only lost by 5. _________________

It was his first game. Recall that Texas A&M was forced to move their first game.
But I am not saying he is a bad player. I am saying that no True Heisman player should 'get a pass' on anything. _________________

Manziel has a lot more to prove to me before I consider him as a legit NFL prospect.
Congrats to him on winning such a prestigious award though. I would have voted Te'o, but Manziel played well.
I feel bad for Klein. The loss to Baylor and the bye week that followed ruined everything for him. I think he can be a very solid QB in the pros tho, so at this point, I'm sure he is fine with that. _________________

The Heisman is nothing but an ESPN award. They decide who wins and looses. They decide who goes to NY.. its flawed in every way imaginable.
Johnny Manziel is great, but we got him shoved down our throats for the past month to the point that there was only 1 obvious winner.. Johnny Football.. |

And, it is voted on by like 800 something people. So I would like to hear how it's a BSPN award. _________________
