http://washington.cbslocal.com/2013/04/18/michael-jordans-trainer-wants-rgiii-in-a-knee-brace-all-season/

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant's personal trainer advises RG3 to wear a brace all season long.

I agree with him! The Redskins shoud heir on the side of being extra cautious with rg3 this season.

Depends turtle...

Is it going to be a *new* smaller, yet modified brace that allows lateral movement with excellent protection and little to zero discomfort?

Or is it that damn big bulky brace he trotted out there with for the last few weeks of the season, that made him look slower than McNabb? Not to mention added all that weight to that leg he got stuck in the ground on the ACL tear VS Seattle....(ah..you guys didn't hear that)

If the answer is A) turtle?
Then you bet.
Would love to see him protect that leg with a device that is fitting & comfortable and doesn't impede on his performance at all. Allows him to run the way he can, but gives him some extra support & stability as well.

If the answer is B) turtle?
Hell no!
I'd rather wait till week-8 to see RG3, than to see him stroll out there with that big bulky thing, while trying to convince me and everyone, that he's 100%.

I can definitely agree with that, great points Ace

RG3 in trademark dispute with, well, RG3

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/20/rg3-in-trademark-dispute-with-well-rg3/

Quote:
The hottest brand in the NFL has a bit of a problem. Robert Griffin III (better known as RG3 or RGIII) was preceded by Research Group 3 (also known as RG3), a company that makes motorcycle suspension parts.

According to the Washington Post, Griffin and the company are trying to negotiate a “coexistence agreement,” which would allow both to use RG3.

Very happy to hear, they are working together on this.

While I wouldn't be in favor of it (shades of Roethlisberger), the obvious solution would be to have a sponsorship deal.

Cousins have best view of RG3-Shanahan

Quote:
But Kirk Cousins, the Redskins' talented backup, who relieved Griffin in the Baltimore game and again in the Seattle game, recalls eavesdropping on an intense sideline conference between Griffin and Shanahan:

"Robert, you're clearly limping, you're not at full strength, do you think you need to come out? And I'm not quoting anybody, I'm just paraphrasing. And Robert's attitude was: I'm okay. I understand there's a limp, but I'm going to be okay. I brought us this far, I want to finish this thing."

Cousins adds: "I think it was tough for Coach Shanahan to tell him no. And it was tough for Robert to back down. Both of them were in a tough spot, each guy's word against the other."
Damn! Great insight there from Captain Kirk. Nice to know Shanahan wanted to take Rg3 out and its even nicer to hear Rg3 say that.

Griffin's dad says QB has been throwing since April #Redskins #RedskinsTalk #RG3 bit.ly/17GOT4t

Robert Griffin III ✔ @RGIII
Quote:
Today....
Treadmill Run.....Threw the football around & a couple roll out throws...
But some take Friday off...

http://www.realredskins.com/rich-tandlers-real-redsk/2013/05/griffins-dad-says-qb-has-been-throwing-since-april.html

Quote:
What got attention here was the part about “roll out throws”. That means that he is doing some running on the field and putting some degree of stress on his surgically-repaired right knee.

"Robert is doing extremely well as far as the timetable,'' the elder Griffin said. "He's been doing a lot over time, he never stops.

Griffin II said that the quarterback is “a little ahead of himself” compared to his rehab from a torn ACL to the same knee that he suffered four years ago as a sophomore at Baylor.

"He's smarter, stronger, wiser,'' said Griffin, speaking of RG3 in 2013.

We should be seeing some of RG3 this week as he works out but don't expect him to be participating in normal football activities.

Quote:
As the Redskins prepare for the first full-squad workouts of 2013, which begin Monday at Redskins Park in Ashburn, the mystery surrounding Griffin’s condition may soon be over. Members of the media will be permitted to view parts of those workouts Thursday, and while Griffin is not expected to be involved in offensive drills, he will perform his daily workout routine with team trainers and other rehabbing teammates.

“Physically and mentally, he’s doing as well as he always has, because of his attitude,” Griffin’s mother, Jacqueline, said in a telephone interview last week. “He’s doing great. He knows that his surgery was a success and he’s ahead of schedule, and he’s looking forward to the upcoming season. Nothing has changed, really. We’ve always had a positive outlook, no matter what happens.”

Asked on Wednesday if she has any regrets about how the Seattle game played out, Jacqueline Griffin said: “No, not really. If we had raised him differently, and if we didn’t have the mind-set we have — that no matter what, we’re going to fight to the end — then it would be easy to say we should have done this, or should have done that. But knowing how we raised him and his mind-set, no. It’s nobody’s fault. There were decisions made all around. And everyone has learned from those decisions.”

Pound!

Did you see Roy Helu "run" and catch a pass from RG3? He looked fine when he was running that route and cutting after the catch. That's a good sign.

I liked his shirt. "Success is a habit"

I agree with this. They do need to zip it about RG3and what happened with his knee, but they won't.

Quote:
Griffin III seemed to indicate that's where he is heading, telling reporters "We are moving forward from it. I told you guys that before and I will say it again. That's all I can say. We talked about it, we are on the same page and we are ready to go."
