http://m.usatoday.com/article/news/1812619

I've seen a few articles reporting that it could be a torn acl

Quote:
At least that is what Robert Griffin III indicated after hinting that the anterior cruciate ligament inside his right knee may have been damaged on the play that ended his (and the Washington Redskins') season with 6:19 remaining in Sunday's 24-14 NFC wild-card loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Yeah, good point -- was a lot of praying go on- on the sideline .. Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst. It looked bad, but then the Batimore injury looked even worse -- hard to tell.

as my friend said to me just now, we don't know for sure but we have to think TD bad w cause of the way Dr Andrews is treating it and we don't know what the injury is already

Terrible news. I take a little different look at this. I think Cousins is a great pick up, but doesn't fit our RG3 offense. The RG# offense we run is not a good one for the health of quarterbacks.

I was hoping the offense would evolve next year from what we did this year with RG3 to a more traditional Steve Young offense where he can throw downfield and then run if he needs to and then sprinkle in a few zone options a game.

I'd expect some soul searching at Redskins Park. If they want to stay a Zone option team they need a different quarterback to back up RG3, maybe a Collin Klein in the 6 or 7th round or Boyd or even the Michigan quarterback.

I hope they evolve the offense and RG# becomes a more traditional passer and then uses his gifts like Elway and Young did.

I understand why they set the offense this way for this year. It was the easiest for RG3 to transition to in the pros and to be productive. But in year 2 it needs to evolve.

Report out of Richmond from WRIC about @RGIII tearing ACL/PCL and being out 14-18 months is false. They are recanting story.

That really sucks. I'm sorry, guys. I really like RGIII and wish him a healthy and speedy recovery. The guy is as classy as the day is long. I hate seeing good guys get hurt.

Thanks for quote, saved me the work lol. Read on twitter the story's recanted as well. We probably won't know any facts until Wednesday or late tomorrow after he sees Dr. Andrews.

Grant Paulsens says PARTIAL ACL and LCL tears. Rehab it? Go in? Plenty for us to agonize over. Gonna be a long offseason. Rotoworld says the meeting with Andrews is to determine if the injury is old or new and if a 2nd reconstruction on the knee is required.
Didn't McNabb get a ligament put in his knee from a cadaver? Long before he came to Washington and played like one.
