This guy isn't giving us any production we couldn't be getting from Idonije, Wootton or McClellin.
Was he honestly worth all that $$$ we gave him? Hope he proves me wrong and makes some plays against the Pack, but this guy has nothin' right now. _________________ I'm a Bears fan. |

He's still a big factor. He's not playing as well as he has in the past though.
He gives us FAR more then Idonije or McClellin. Wootton is playing well though. |

Yes he absolutely was worth the money. Part of the reason he isnt playing well is because of plantar fasciitis. Which is pretty uncomfortable. _________________

Thanks so very much for asking this question. I've almost posted it a couple of times myself.
I dropped my NFL package this season and have only seen about half of the games. The one's I've seen, I've seen little of Peppers. At least Peppers as a dominant DE.
I'd missed the foot issues which could explain a lot.
We have a defense that started the season playing at an elite level that has worn down to play at an average level. All the trademarks of a defense that still relies on a core group (outside of Melton) of older vets. A fast start because they are a veteran group that slowly starts wearing down to a series of nagging and chronic injuries. All players get injuries as the season goes on, but older players with preexisting issues are a much higher risk group.
This is why I'm so opposed to any deals where we trade multiple draft picks for fewer picks. We've got to reload the pipeline and in several places.
Our youth is showing up in the center of the defense. Melton, Paea, Wright, and perhaps Conte. |

Peppers has not been great this year.
That being said he has been good and is far from the problem. _________________

I'll gladly admit that Peppers is proving me wrong so far today. Playing very well and showing up in the game where we need him the most. _________________ I'm a Bears fan. |

He's had a disappointing season so far but hes playing well today. Not sure if its an age factor or if he is getting less total snaps as before. _________________

He had also repeatedly played injured when no other linemen could generate a rush. _________________

While we're blaming the best players on our team, I'd like to complain about how Brandon Marshall can't consistently beat two or three guys being draped all over him.
Come on guys, let's be serious. |
