Flacco deserves whatever the hell he wants. He put this team on his shoulders on multiple occasions out his career and finally led us to a Superbowl Championship. Do whatever it takes to sign this beast. We've been good at that "Right player. Right Price." Bit for a little while. Hopefully it'll work out once more if Flacco breaks the M&T Bank pockets!

I'm not surprised Joe Linta is saying that Joe Flacco deserves to be paid more than any other QB. You've got to start your negotiating from somewhere, and I expect Linta's opening gambit to be something like $21million a year.

Pretty sure he won't get that though. I expect something like $18million over six or seven years, $50/60million guaranteed.

Flacco wants to get paid, obviously, and he definitely deserves it, but I'd be very surprised if he wanted such a prohibitive amount that it damages the Ravens' ability to be competitive over the next few years. What's the point of getting very rich and losing, when you can just get rich and win?

If Flacco gets over $17.5m/year, he's overpaid.

It's such a shame that he's threatening to become overrated and overpaid now. Before it was underrated and underpaid. But when you see ESPN analysts saying that Flacco is the BEST QB in the league over Aaron Rodgers... and when people believe Flacco should be making $20m... well, that's just ridiculous.

Even for inflation standards that's ridiculous.

Eagles hired Billy Davis as their new DC. Looks like we'll get to hang on to Monachino for at least one more year.

Really curious as to whether he can coax anything out of Adrian Hamilton with a full offseason to work with him.
