Nice job, love seeing all the scenarios. Unfortunately, I highly doubt the Eagles will do much to help us clinch this. _________________

I dont want that at all. Its tough enough to win in Seattle. But winning in Seattle on a primetime stage would have that crowed and hawks team sooooo pumped. _________________

If Giants/Ravens and Bengals/Steelers are protected, the only other game with national appeal would be Saints/Cowboys. Maybe Bucs/Rams if its a playoff game, but its not win or in so i doubt that game will have a lot of appeal.
In the end i think it'll be 49ers/Seahawks. A team can have a max of 6 primetime games if one of them is a Thursday game, so we haven't reached our max, and our week 17 matchup against the Cardinals won't be a premium matchup.
I expect us to beat Miami and NE, and i think SEA will beat ARI and BUF. A 10-3-1 team vs a 9-5 team for the potential division title would be a huge matchup. Add in a division rivalry, Harbaugh vs Carroll, etc, its a no brainer IMO. _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6 |

I hope we win but I don't see it happening. _________________

Im really looking forward to the seahawks game. the last game would have gone differently if they wouldnt have dropped so many passes, that was a lucky win as far as I am concerned. Our offense played like garbage. They are a tough defense who likes to jam WRs at the line so I think we need to run bunch formations. Wheel routes and double moves are going to be key. plus its another loud place to play
If we win that game we win the division. its pretty much that simple. _________________

Just finished playing around with the playoff Machine on espn and it appears that our biggest foes are the Bears, Packers, and Seahawks.
If the bears and packers both lose one more game a piece before or after they play each other next week, we should be clear for the 2nd seed. Their matchup next week is going to be huge for us. So will the pats niners game next week. We win that game and we should keep ahold of the 2nd seed and win the division. I'm totally projecting here but I think it has a pretty good shot of going down like this.
All scenearos I keep doing makes me realize the 49ers really don't have total control of their destiny this year. We're going to need some help from some lower teams. _________________

That Rams loss is absolutely devastating. My playoff scenario had us going to New York to play the Giants in round one. That would be absolutely awful for us. I have us losing to Seattle at home - but if Browner (already confirmed) and Sherman are both out, I like our chances. Pretty dumb that we'd already have the division pretty much locked up if not for a) two Akers missed FGs and b) The interception touchdown by the Hawks against Green Bay. _________________
