Less than three hours left for the Chiefs to re-sign their own free agents.

We talked about Dorsey in another thread.

Would be surprised if they let Mattison & Maneri walk. 55k$ non-guaranteed -that should get them into camp

            Other than that:

Pitoitua and Siler - anyone else is just a guy.

Will be interesting to see if they bring back Gafford. I don't consider him the most consistent Long Snapper - however, not too shabby. Where do you find a new one? Sometimes a pivotal guy noone talks about. Gafford's due a 715k$ minimum.

            Guess Maneri is back:

            Quote:
            Steve Maneri @stevemaneri

“@KC_Guy: @stevemaneri nope - go back to KC to sign a new contract .. Wink” that's why we have fax machines!

They were reportedly showing interest in the Nebraska long snapper and the kicker on the Cornhusker Pro Day. My guess is Toub wants some competition for Succop and Gafford if he is re-signed.

They already have TWO kickers on the roster - Szymanski is still around.

Isn't it kind of astonishing there has been NO talk about KC free agents (other than very recently Cassel & Quinn)? No talk about Dorsey (who was very active on twitter until 8 MAR - and now is absolutely mum), Pitoitua, Hillis, and all the others? Proof of quality??

BTW: Travis Daniels is building his second career as a photographer.
Pretty cool site setup - the pics: Hmmm ...

Nah...nobody goes after backups right away and Dorsey was obviously only interested in staying at this point.

I wonder if people realize that Matt Cassel's 2 best seasons of his career are probably better than anything Alex Smith has ever done.

updated ... it's been a pretty busy offseason - especially with regard to signing 2nd and 3rd tier veterans ...
