Think of this as a part 2 of the Redball thread:
There was some interesting debate, but I think it has run its course. One highly debated topic was the fact that Wade Phillips had more success as HC than Jason Garrett. As I contended in that thread - I do not think that Jason Garrett inherited a talented team.
I contend that Garrett took over a team with some nice top end talent, but over the 4 years that Phillips was Head Coach, there was very little developed. We were left with the "star" guys that Bill Parcells had put on the roster, and developed, before he left in 2006.
***PLEASE NOTE - THESE RANKINGS ARE AS OF WHEN HE TOOK OVER THE TEAM IN 2010.. CLEARLY SOME PLAYERS HAVE DEVELOPED SINCE THEN***

Would anyone agree or disagree with my rankings? If you agree, that means that in 2010 - we had 7 quality starters (not on special teams). Which leaves 15 positions on the field that were either just serviceable, but in need of an upgrade.. Or in really bad shape.
Do you think you can have legitimate, continued, playoff success with ~65% of your roster needing to be upgraded? _________________

If we are going what they were in 2010, then in my opinion I would move Sean Lee down to tier 3. There is no one here who would have put him above Dez for example and Dez is in tier 2. _________________

- solid point. For some reason I had it in my mind that he became the starter that year. My bad!! _________________

Here we see a prime example of why this team failed. _________________

Harsh on James and Kosier (who weren't bad) and lenient on Jenkins (who was terrible). Otherwise, yeah, generally agree with those rankings. _________________
