The #Packers and @RyanGrant25 have agreed to terms and the running back will sign with his old team this morning, per Grant. _________________

Grant's tire status: kicked
I'll expect him to be deactivated this week so he can pull off another one of his patented 50-yd runs at Soldier Field. _________________

Yeah, had to figure this might happen. It makes a lot of sense .. guy knows the offense and can step right in and be assignment sure. Good move for the Packers as we get into this critical part of the season where you can't afford to have many mental errors. Hopefully he can get into football shape in the next few weeks. |

im surprised we didn't do this earlier after Benson went down... we know what we'll get with grant
he healthy, knows the system... he should give us a reliable option for the rest of the year if he stays healthy
i remember being so mad last year when they refused to give him touches... but now that MM is committing to the run more than he ever has i think grant will be able get the yards we need to keep defenses honest
a combo of grant & green on 3rd downs hopefully keeps the ball out of kuhns hands on any playcall that isn't a goalline FB dive |

I'm happy.
Who knows what he has left, but this is absolutely worth taking a chance on. Could be huge. |

Not a huge fan of this move. I mean, the Pack basically cut Grant (yeah, I know just didn't re-up his contract). I just don't think his psyche will be right.
Then again he might really appreciate the fact the Pack thought of him when injuries got to be too much. It'll probably be another 1 year contract so maybe he figures he can prove himself.
I have to say though, he always has been a good community guy and seems to like the people of Wisconsin and the fans seem to like him too. I guess I'm still a little angry about his last contract and the barrell he put the Pack over with the whole Favre thing. |

Already picked him up in my fantasy league where I have McCoy, MJD, and JStew out. First round of playoffs and I either start grant or Ronnie Hillman. Yuck. |

Good for Ryan, he is a good guy and was always a solid member of this team in the past, all we can do is hope he is fresh and ready to help our playoff run. Basically Grant = Starks as far as run game production so this injury wont be one that cripples us. _________________

Knows the offense like the back of his hand, just have to get him into game shape and see what he has in the tank. |

One thing Grant can do is pass block and we need that skill big time around here. |

I was just about to come in here and lament the signing and say that right when Starks gets it going we bring in competition. But nevermind that. WELCOME BACK GRANT. _________________
