Rex has one of the least talented teams (without Revis) nearing another .500 season and an OT loss @ NE from being in serious playoff contention.
He has done a fantastic job coaching the mess he has on the roster. |
While this is true, he's working in the most media-frenzied areas in the US, an area that has two teams to roof for - the other being the most recent SB championship.
The NY media is going to rip him to shreds, and that will eventually manifest itself in ticket sales and team confidence. After a while, public perception becomes the truth (whether or not it is the truth is another discussion) but Jets faithful will want Rex's head on a platter when the season is done. _________________

And it's really stupid, we've been to two AFC Championship games since we got him. _________________

Smart ownership/management shouldn't bend to noise like that from the fans and media. If they do then they will never succeed there. |

...this is the same ownership/management that traded up to get Mark Sanchez, signed Drew Stanton this past offseason, and then traded for Tim Tebow right afterwards.
I'm not saying they're not smart...but...well, OK. They're not smart. _________________

What if the Jets win out, which is certainly a possibility? I don't want Rex gone. I think Rex gets another season. _________________

Smart ownership? We have one of the worst owners in the league. _________________

You're right. I wouldn't want the Vikings to fire Leslie Frazier, but if they did I sure wouldn't mind having Rex take his place - unless of course we get Tebow in here first. _________________
