I get he's trying to bat the ball down, but not only do you lose control, you make it a lot more likely you're going to hit the QB's head, which will draw a penalty against the great QB's.
I think Coples is going to be a very solid player. Probably never much more than a 8 sack guy, but I've been happy with his run defense. I see him having a Shaun Ellis type career, which is fine by me. |
With Wilk having a Richard Seymour career? _________________

I don't know who to compare Wilkerson to really. The guy that comes to mind is Trevor Pryce more than anything.
Seymour was really on a different level for a while, I can't consciously compare Wilk to Seymour until I see more/better big plays. |

Another player I noticed today was Kenrick Ellis. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.
He definitely has the raw ability, he will almost always push back his guy, but he sometimes ends up running himself out of a play by doing that. He plays a little too fast right now, and needs to remember to fight leverage with leverage. You can't really teach that kind of physical ability, so I have faith he'll end up sharpening his skills and becoming a good player.
The 2011 draft may end up being a very good one for us.
Wilk - No explanation needed. He's a beast.
Ellis - As said above, he's raw, talented and needs to learn to play under control.
Powell - 3rd down back, and honestly should be splitting carries equally with Greene.
Kerley - Starting WR going forward. Needs to have someone else to divert attention away from him though.
McElroy - Will be the #2 QB next year (if they don't draft one early), and I truly believe he'll end up starting and winning a few more games for the Jets.
S. McKnight - Dating Hayden Panettiere, so he's probably doing the best out of all of them. |

The best draft we've had since 2007. Too bad every draft between them was really bad. _________________
