With all the things happening do you think the Lions will go out and draft another WR in the 1st 3 Rounds? With Young probably going to be cut or traded at seasons end and Broyles tearing another ACL. Would it be smart? Or should we target someone in FA? _________________

I will always be a proponent of BPA unless we're set at a position, with equally rated players going to the position of need. We are in no way set at WR.
If we target someone in FA, we could become "set" at WR and eliminate the BPA but we are now razor-thin after the Broyles injury so I don't see that as a possibility nor a wise choice, really _________________ Football is love, love is life. |

I agree completely. If they feel a WR is BPA, they need to take him. _________________

while it is a need, i cant spend a top 3 round pick on a WR again, if stafford is an elite QB its time for him to make someone who isnt otherwise good into a productive wide reciever like manning, brady, rodgers, brees. I think we draft a wide out but late rounds is where we do it _________________

Given Mayhews fascination with WR so far and fact he is Millen prodigy I would not be surprised.
Hopefully they add it in FA versus draft _________________

If we do, I'd prefer a bigger target like Da'Rick Rogers (character concerns though) or Cordarrelle Patterson.
I'd rather build the offensive line and defense but if they were to target a WR, I'd like for them to get another big bodied guy. _________________

Stafford
Calvin 1
Pettigrew 1
Scheffler 2
young 2
broyles 2
point is wheres staffords garcon 6, collie 4, tamme 4, stokley 4, moore udfa, colston 7th, hernadez 4
rodgers is surrounded by high picks valid point, driver was a 7th but he was well established before rodgers. welker was a udfa too just becaus he was traded for a 2nd doesnt mean anything, moss was traded for a 4th should i not count him as a first round pick? Point is those guys have made atleast one reciever each, we have our high picks for stafford now make a late rounder work _________________

Eli has had...
Burress 1st
Steve Smith 2nd
Manningham 3rd
Hicks 1st
Randle 2nd
...but they've got lucky with Cruz.
The Lions have always taken a playmaker with their 2nd pick in the draft, so I wouldn't expect that to change now. |

| on the same note - what would do us more good - a 2nd round RB like Kenjon Barner? Or a 2nd round WR? |

i like barner alot but doesnt he have concussion issues? i would say it depends on the reciever, i havent been looking at them much since it hasnt exctly been a need for that long _________________

I don't know much about Barner beyond he has been mentioned in a few mocks here and is a run/receiver type of back like Best. I don't know if he has concussion issues like him as well but if he does he would be the perfect replacement for Best )) We could blow another 2nd rounder on a 2 year rental! |

| I hated the Titus pick and the Broyles pick but I do like Patterson or Williams in the 2nd if there.Other than that I pray we don't. |

Detroit simply not good hitting on late picks. Fact they have t hit in them does not mean they are not trying _________________
