we brought in Leigh Torrence in pre-season so knowing us we probably pick a guy up from PS or resign him. |
Lets see what Crawford has , he played well everytime except for I think it was the Tampa Game. He has showedd good ball skills and could be our furture starter . Maybe this is a bessing in disguise. |

| Anyone know anything about Buddy Jackson (6-1, 180 lb rookie out of Pittsburgh)? He's a corner on our practice squad. |

Either that or our needs that much more glaring.
I'm definitely starting to think they ignore right tackle this offseason and focus on the defense. I'm not saying that I agree with that decision, just what I could see them doing. |

I think between we Jackson and Meriwether they will shore up one starting saftey position atleast . I think we need a complete overhall at CB and keep one of our current starters as a thrird CB . If Keenan could step in for Fletcher as a starter I think our front seven will be fine other than getting some depth at pass rush. |

I think we will be in for a pleasant surprise next year with people back healthy and a few additions. I'm not really fond of Haslett but I do not want another system change there for I would give him another year even though he has never in his life D coordinated a defense better than 15. |

I wouldn't even think of relying on Jackson. Down that road lies foolishness.
Meriweather might pan out, but I would point out he has only started one complete year in his six year career (2009). It would be nice if he was our main line starter, but that might also be a risky play.

Well, Hall's probably too expensive from a salary perspective but has no guaranteed money remaining on his contract. So, cutting him would be $7.5M in cap space reclaimed right then and there.
Wilson is only signed through 2013. He would make $3.9M in salary next year, and has $1.333M in a signing bonus portion plus $0.1M workout bonus. If they keep him, he has a $5.333M cap value; if they cut him, they save $2.667M in cap space.
Cedric Griffin's only on a one year deal, and given his poor play and the PED suspension, I'd be surprised if they brought him back.
However, after those three, we've got:
Jerome Murphy
Richard Crawford (rookie)
D.J. Johnson
Chase Minnifield (rookie; coming off IR)
Buddy Jackson (rookie; practice squad)
Gutting the secondary could be done, but does it make sense?

Hard to replace that leadership. |

Just wondering if anybody knows , the Seahawks corners were exposed last weak and played this week and from what I heard are playing next week . Can't Griffen take the same rout as them postponing the process?
It's probably up to Mara who's appeals get herd anyway |

I used to be a Kelly Jennings fan...
I thought he was going to be GREAT.
Losing Cedric sucks. _________________ Don't be afraid to turn the lights on...

he wasn't that good to begin with but that depth is crucial. they need to just bump up that corner they signed when meriweather went down, again. at least they means shanahan wont be stingy next year when it comes to getting secondary help, draft or otherwise _________________

I was never huge on this signing to begin with because I don't think he was a huge upgrade over the more versatile and younger Kevin Barnes.
Sadly, Cedric Griffin has Nothing left on the tank. He didn't have much this year either. He got beat off the line of scrimmage constantly and doesn't have any recovery speed.
That being said, his loss will hurt for this hopeful playoff run because he's been here all year and he's a vet.
He better be gone next year!
This secondary has to get cheaper, much younger, more athletic and just overall better at every level.
We HAVE to greatly upgrade the secondary A Lot this offseason. _________________
