My first crack at 2013 offseason. We'll pick somewhere at the end of each round.

+ 4th round comp for Flynn

Jermichael Finley: I realize he's been coming on as of late but IMO he's not worth keeping around. Making way to much money as it is. Let him catch on somewhere else and send a comp pick back our way.
Charles Woodson: He's getting up there in age and it hasn't held him back before but at some point you have to think it will catch up to him. Woody's best contribution to this team at this point is his ability to lead so I wonder and that would sorely be missed if he was gone. With Hawk, Bishop, Matthews, Pickett and Williams I think they will be just fine.
Jeff Saturday: Even when healthy this line has taken a step back. I have to believe that Saturday is part of the problem. He is in decline and was likely a one year rental as it was. Cut him and draft a replacement.
Donald Driver: Inactive last game. Time for Driver to retire.
Cedric Benson: There is no way TT and Co. resign him. Hopefully Green, Starks, and Saine picked something up from him. Adios!
Erik Walden: Decent depth but we have younger better options
Rob Francois: Not worth the resigning. Decent special teamer but would hold up progression of younger players like Manning and Lattimore.
Frank Zombo: Isn't worth keeping around. Maybe TT keeps him for depth and special teams? I just dont see it.

Greg Jennings: Team leader and Pro Bowler. Nelson/Jones/Jennings/Cobb locked up for a couple seasons sounds good to me. Ya dig?
Sam Shields: Young player with a lot of promise. TT decides to keep him around for awhile. With Shields, this secondary has a lot of promise.
Brad Jones: Resigned for ST and depth purposes. Versatile, can play OLB & ILB. Good player who is still young. Resignings like these are what keep this team on top.
Tom Crabtree: Depth at TE after Finley gets cut. Excellent blocker and underrated pass catcher who steps in when his name is called.
Evan Dietrich-Smith: Resigned to compete in training camp

Free Agency
Steven Jackson

The dude can play. Sure we're kicking the tires at this point but we did the same when we signed Benson this year. With this essentially being his rookie season, I'm not ready to give up on Green yet and I don't think TT is either. At the same time, I don't think the guy is ready to start yet. Jackson is the perfect guy to bring in. Green can sit behind him and come in on 3rd down. If Jackson doesn't pan out then were no worse off than we are now.

Draft Day

1st round

Barrett Jones
OT Alabama. 6-5 311

I'm torn here. Either way I'm going Oline and either way im going C. I go Jones here or I go Cooper. I like Cooper's athleticism but I feel like Jones' versatility is what makes him the pick. Jones can fill the hole (and then some) at C, backup at G in case Saturday stays and one of those guys goes down, and he's insurance in case Sherrod doesn't pan out. *sidebar* Why on earth would we go OT here?? I've seen it mocked multiple times and I just don't understand it. Without a CBA in 2010 and an injury in '11, Sherrod hasn't even had a chance to show us what he is made of, plus lineman, unlike RB or WR, is not one of those positions where you just burst onto the scene. Was Bulaga a finished product year one? I don't think so. There is absolutely NO WAY Ted gives up on Sherrod at this point. *end sidebar* Bottom line; Jones is the perfect OL prospect for this team. He can backup everywhere on the line and most importantly he can keep Rodgers on his feet.

2nd round

Zach Ertz
TE Stanford. 6-6 249lbs

Without Finley and Driver we could use a boost (or at least some depth) in the passing game. Ertz is a team player and his pass catching and blocking skills would be welcomed to this team. Ertz is leading all TE in the nation with 837yds on 66 catches. He has also hauled in 6 TD's. He isn't the match-up nightmare that Finely is but he's damn close. The dude can play and we could use a complete player at the TE position on this team.

3rd round

Margus Hunt
DE SMU. 6-8 280.

BJ Raji, Ryan Pickett, CJ Wilson, Mike Neal. Those 4 players are free agents after 2014. That means TT is going DE early or often and IMO Hunt is a near perfect option. He is classic boom/bust physical freak prospect, in fact CBSsports named him their #1 freak for the year. Blocked 7 kicks his freshman year and has 14 for his career. 82 inch wingspan and a 36in vertical on a 6-8 frame. Projected a 4.6 40 time with 35 reps on the bench. Look we're gonna resign probably 2 of those guys anyways so what is this gonna hurt? I know we're tired of whiffing on DL prospects but absolute worst case he's a bust, we have Pickett Worthy and Raji starting on the line another year and we go Dline again in 2014 (BREAKING NEWS: we were gonna do that anyway..) Best case? We just drafted Jason Pierre-Paul 2.0.

4th round:

Darius Slay
CB Mississippi St. 6-1 190.

Slay is another 6ft ballhawk that TT is probably drooling over right now. With likely first rounder Jonathan Banks shutting down one side of the field, Slay has been picked on a lot this year. He hasn't disappointed. 5int 6passes defensed. He provides depth behind Williams, Shields, Hayward, and House and keeps Bush on the sidelines until special teams.

Johnathan Franklin
RB UCLA. 5-10 205.

TT will go RB in this draft. Going RB high isn't really his MO plus he just drafted Green in the 3rd and he isn't ready to give up on Green yet. I'd expect him to go RB late as insurance. Franklin has NFL caliber speed and vision, UCLA teammates call him "Jetski" cause he "leaves defenders in his wake". Franklin has gone for 1700yds and 13TD on the ground and has 32 catches for 319yds and 2 more scores. Proving that he could be an asset in both facets of the game.

5th Round

Brandon Williams
DE Miss Southern St. 6-3 325
Classic TT pick. Small school DT with plenty of potential. Insurance if the Hunt pick doesn't pan out, and they play different positions anyways. We could use depth along the line with 4 Dlinemen as free agents in 2014. Williams backs up DT and Pickett's position of the run stuffing DE. TT hasn't picked up a player like this in awhile and with Pickett getting up there in age I think it's about time he does so. The closest thing to DT we have if Raji and Pickett go down (knock on wood) is Wilson and he's about 30lbs lighter. Multiple All-American pick and unanimous MIAA Defensive Player of the Year. Thick dude who can rush the passer and take up space in the run game.

6th Round

Travis Long
OLB Washington St. 6-4 245

TT picks up a falling prospect. Long is a smaller school guy that has done a little bit of it all. Last two seasons: 101 tackles, 24 TFL, 13.5sack, INT, 6Passes broken up, 2FF and a blocked kick. With Matthews/Perry holding down the edges and Moses and Jones backing up we need some depth at OLB and Long fits the bill. I really like this guy. He (like probably everyone else on this mock) will rise leading up to the draft.

7th Round

Zach Line
FB Southern Methodist. 6-1 230.

Kuhn is a free agent in 2014 and with no backup anywhere on the team or PS we could use a player like Line. He looks the part of a weapon in the passing and running game with 1207yds 12TD's on the ground and 32 catches for 231 yards receiving. Looks the part as a blocker and could easily hone his skills on the PS or at the lower end of the roster if he makes the team.

Sorry theres no pic for Williams. For some reason it wouldn't work.

Hunt is another Athlete project for Trgovac to fail at developing IMO, but it's worth a shot I guess

I have serious doubts that we will draft a FB. The way the position is undervalued, you can find quality guys in UDFA. It's the same way with specialist, and to a degree skill positions.

I can't complain about anybody else here, good job

Overall, seems fine, alot of familiar names in familiar spots.

Just one note. No comp pick for Finley if they cut him. You only get comp picks for losing FAs whose contracts expire, not cutting guys not worth their deal.

So I guess we're 100% for sure taking Barrett Jones then?

Nah he's in this many mocks I'd say that means it's must more likely he is on the board and TT picks someone else. Is there anyone named Harrell in this draft class?

I just realized that Barrett Jones is part of the double R theory. No me gusta. Selling all stock on him if he goes to Green Bay
