What would u rather have?
Draft Geno Smith with the same offensive line with levi coming back from injury or kevin kolb as starter and draft a offensive tackle with levi coming back as well.

I would definatly to with kolb as starter, drafting of a tackle and having levi come back to have a complete line protecting kolb.

GENO SMITH ONE MILLION TIMES.

Go get a second round tackle or via free agency and a new RG and were in business.

Kolb can only take us so far. Remember he was hurt in Philly even with Jason Peters. Ceiling is much smaller than Geno.

Guy is special. No contest.

Oddly enough, Geno Smith is one of the very few college QB's I've seen play in person (one of two :p). So I'd love to get him on the team!

I'd rather sign Long and move Levi to RG. Not sure if our 1st/2nd this year plus another 2nd next year is enough to get Geno but i'm hesitant to trade away multiple 1st's for a rookie. Just saying.

I really don't know anything about Geno Smith but if he is the best QB in the draft, this team needs to go after him, even if that means trading draft picks that would have gone to addressing the offensive line.

QB > everything else

But how much is too much? Will KC/JAX be asking for an RG3 ransom? That's too much...

If I knew I was getting an RGIII type of player it absolutely wouldn't be too much. A 1st and 2nd this year (basically just our 2nd since we're swapping 1st), and our next two 1sts as well. I would do that. Problem is Geno Smith is not RGIII. So I'd take away at least one of the 1st round picks.

Would you rather give three 1st's - or - two 1st's and two 2nd's?

Personally three 1st's sounds bad but at least we'd have a 2nd rounder both those years, i dunno...

Wouldnt give that up for Geno

he is not Luck or RG3 or even in their shadow

He is more Akili Smith to me, dont think he will do well in the pros.

No one is going to give up 3 first round picks for Geno Smith. If our first and second this year, as well as a future second or other lower picks is not enough, than it is not enough and we stay put. I would be NOT be in favor of trading 3 first round picks for Geno. He is no Luck or RG3.

If its no Smith then it must be a different qb. Kolb need to be done in Arizona.

If Smith is there when we are picking I can see it, but to trade multiple picks to move up that is ridiculous. Smith is not Luck or RGIII, worse idea than draft Gabbert.

If Horton comes in as HC, then Kolb comes back. Book it

Chiefs fan here. I wouldn't be opposed to trading our first round pick (Likely #1 overall) to the Cardinals for their first round pick (lets say it ends up being pick #6), their 2013 second round pick, and their 2014 first and second round picks.

We can't plan on starting Kevin Kolb. That's all I know. You can't plan on playing a guy who never starts more than 9 games a year.

But you could renegotiate his contract and have him start initially as the rookie learns the ropes. If the rookie can take over mid-year or earlier, great - if not, you get what you can out of Kolb for the whole season and hope the rookie is ready the following one. And IMHO Kolb would be an excellent backup for some team somewhere...even here. I'd try to restructure and hang on to him one more season or more if the price was right (EDIT) ...assuming he could pass a physical.
