Not an ideal situation, but it's nice that the Pats could find a vet on the street that knows the offense. _________________ Shut up, NBT |

Branch must still be hurt. Just a warm body to throw out there while Edelman is out. _________________ 2012 Adopt-A-Patriot: Wes Welker

| I'm concerned we haven't heard anything about Edelman. |

He's on crutches. Not sure timetable but We're rolling w/ Lloyd Welker Stallworth and Slater at WR. _________________

| If he is on crutches with a walking boot, he is almost certainly done until January, if not for the rest of the year. |

I don't care if he's out this week or 4 weeks, I'm concerned we could lose him for the year. |

Good move getting a guy that knows the offense. Texans and 49ers defense are probably going to take out Hernandez and Welker when we play them. With Edelman injured pretty badly, we need someone to step up big time. _________________

No, he can't. He can still run pretty well (i.e. he's not Deion Branch) but he can't burn and he hasn't been able to separate from defenders in 5 years. |

He was quite easily the fastest receiver we had in training camp. Not insinuating that says anything, but if any patriot could get vertical, it will be him. _________________

Yeah and he sucked in camp. The guy hasn't been able to "get vertical" since 2007
He's fast enough to make a DB pay if they slip/turn the wrong way or flat out blow the coverage, but he's not fast enough to blow a CB off the line and get separation based on his speed. |
