Vikings fan, but both of my parents hare huge Chiefs fan. I am actually going to the game tomorrow.
This is terrible news. Terrible loss for a great organization. I hope this team turns things around and plays inspired. Best wishes to the Chiefs family. _________________

Wow. I am speechless and I'm in complete shock. This is so incredibly horrible and I mourn for loss of Belcher.
I enjoyed watching him progress from UDFA to NFL Starter. He may not of been the best, but he certainly gave it his all and the void left by him will effect everybody.
Absolutely awful and many prayers go out to the Chiefs community. |

The latest report I heard was that he shot his girlfriend at home, drove to the stadium, confronted Pioli, and then shot himself.
RIP Jovan. _________________

Let this be a reminder, that no matter how bad this football season gets, there are much more important things in life. I hope everyone can take some time to really appreciate what we have all around us. _________________

KCPD say Pioli and Crennel were both outside with Jovan when it happened. They say he thanked both men and took his life.
Rest in Peace, Jovan. We will miss you. _________________

| Truly terrible. Nothing is ever worth taking someone's life. I liked Belcher but for him to kill someone is unforgivable. I'm sorry he is dead but I wish it was ] only 1 life today. |

| Honestly this shouldn't be about Belcher, he killed someone before taking his life. The thoughts and prayers should go towards the young lady who died. She should be remembered. |

Absolutely horrible, and as much as Romeo and Pioli seem to have let our fanbase down, how terrible for them as well. To see that unfold right before them.
I agree that this brings life, and how fragile it is into perspective. To think I started my morning off coming on here to complain about why Peyton Hillis has more passes this season than Ricky Stanzi. _________________
