San Francisco 49ers vs Miami Dolphins
VS

After a great choke job by our offense, coaching, and Akers, we're looking to bounce back against the Miami Dolphins. Kaepernick will be looking to show that he can be that guy we can trust after a bad performance. Hopefully he can get his head on straight and will give us a show like he did his first two starts. _________________

Well... when you put Kap next to that Miami fan, his tattoos actually look decent.. _________________

We tend to bounce back well after losses/ties. 3-0 with a combined score of 79-13.
I'd like to see some growth from kaep. Make positive plays downfield, cut down those mistakes. D and special teams should be fine except for maybe Akers. And maybe we can see our rookies? Don't think it's asking too much to get them involved right now.
Also, our run game has been average to bad the last few games. I don't know if its kaep missing audibles/ poor run checks, or our OL just doing a poor job lately. We've also given up more pressure too, although I wonder if being on the road in 2 straight dome games has something to do with it, or if its again poor blitz pick ups by the QB.
Hopefully this is a nice bounce back win. We need it. _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6

| I don't think Kap's performance actually was bad. The pitch to Ginn was obviously hideous, but that play was dead in the water, anyway. Kap and Crabs were the only players on offense who actually did anything. At any rate, we need a bounceback game one way or another. |

Colin's numbers for the last three games:
CHI [W 32-7] [16 of 23] 69.6% [243 yards] 10.6 average 2 TD 0 INT 1 sack 7 sack yardage 133.1 Rating
@NO [W 31-21] [16 of 25] 64.0% [231 yards] 9.2 average 1 TD 1 INT 0 sack 0 sack yardage 90.6 Rating
@STL [L 13-16] [21 of 32] 65.6% [208 yards] 6.5 average 0 TD 0 INT 3 sack 17 sack yardage 83.9 Rating
I've bolded some of the key areas. Some good, some bad.
What a great game against the Bears.
Average-above average game against the Saints in which our defense bailed us out.
Below average-average game(using an admittedly small sample size) against the Rams. We rarely have great games when we throw over 30 passes if I remember correctly. 3 sacks. More tape on Kaep now? The 6.5 average is what stands out most to me.
Miami is a huge test for Colin. How does he bounce back from a loss? If it's anything like he bounces back from a mistake on his part, he should do just fine. Hot hands getting progressively colder? Raw numbers point to that, but we'll have more to look at after the Dolphins.
Injuries are killing us. Ginn should not ever see the field unless he's returning. And, quite honestly, I'm not sure if I want him doing that anymore, either. Unfortunately, the only other player that's had any decent experience doing it is Williams, who is out for the year. Jenkins and James still nowhere to be found.
Miami may not be an elite team, but they're not sucking for Luck this year, either. Kind of reminds me of the Vikings game. It's a good thing this one's in Candlestick.
Go Niners! _________________

This is a must win game. This game and the cardinals game are must wins because they're against weaker teams at home. NEED TO WIN.
That leaves the patriots and Seahawks on the road. I'm predicting a split for those games and finishing the seasons games 3-1 and 11-4-1 overall.
Does anyone know when we could theoretically clinch the division? _________________

Does anyone know when we could theoretically clinch the division? | It could come down to week 17. Seattle is at 7 wins, we're at 8. Their schedule isn't brutal either. They have Cards Bills Niners and Rams left. We have Dolphins, Pats, Seattle, and Cards. _________________

If we win next week and seattle loses we will be 9-3-1 and the hawks will be 7-6. If seattle loses the following game and goes to 7-7 that would mean the best they could do is 9-7. if we're sitting at 9-3-1, that would mean the worst we could do is 9-6-1.
Couldn't we clinch with a win and seattle two losses? _________________

By the looks of it, we're going to need to win out to get that 2nd seed too. Green Bay has a strong possibility of winning out, and if we lose one more game, then we'd be the 3rd seed and could possibly face Seattle again. _________________

We've smashed two NFC East teams (Jets, Bills) so far... let's make it three. _________________
