Not good. Keller is a UFA after this season.

This is just the type of season we're having. May not be good, because I think this give Rex an excuse. _________________

Considering the hamstring injury he had, the QB he's had throwing to him, and the lack of coverage that is drawn away from him, I think he has been fine. I hope we bring him back. _________________

this sucks for McElroy.
I hope we do sign him back. We got to many needs we have to fill this offseason. _________________

Unless he takes a pay cut he can go. He was Sanchez's favorite target and Sanchez is done. Keller is a nice TE but not a top 5 TE. I think he's going to want to be paid like one and if he does then he needs to go. Hopefully we can tender him and get a 2nd or something if someone signs him.
He;s going to be another Harris if we ink him to a big deal. _________________

You can't tender an unrestricted free agent. The only thing I believe you can do is franchise him if a deal can't be worked out _________________

True I didn't even think about that. Isn't it possible to get a pick for having someone sign one of your players other then a tender? Like those comp picks?
Either way though. If he wants top 5 TE money then he's not worth it. _________________

Adding him and Fred Davis should be a lot cheaper than expected. _________________

It should be one or the other. You can't have a two TE set with them in it. The reason it works for the Pats is Gronk is a great blocker. |

Yes you can get a comp pick for a player who's rookie contract is up and they sign elsewhere. It's not guaranteed that a team will get it though and the pick is at the bottom on the round _________________

Are you sure it is only their rookie contract? I thought it was any player who leaves you can get a comp pick but it is like an add minus system where the players you bring in can subtract your comp picks. |
