I have a hard time believing that anybody here wanted Irvin. | I made a thread about how I wanted him _________________ I <3 Kate Upton and Ezekiel Ansah, just FYI

not many monkey's here.
While your statement is correct it needs some clarification.
The normal knee is not at any increased risk of injury if the injured knee is rehabilitated to the same strength as the normal knee.
That's why the rehab is so darned important. It's also really hard to pinpoint when the knee's have equivalent strength.
It's really an unfortunate injury for Broyles. _________________

No you didn't. | Oh, okay. |
You wanted the best WR in that draft class..... Leonard Hankerson. _________________

Weeks ago Broyles was playing assume and a great draft pick
Now Mayhew is dumb for drafting him again because he should have known he would hurt his OTHER need.
End of thread

 | I've never called Broyles a great pick. With a superstar WR, and supposedly a "franchise QB", we shouldn't have to draft WR's in the 1st and 2nd round every year.
This shows me the Lions lack of belief in Stafford's ability to make his WR's better, the way that the greats could. Brett Farve made his WR's look great, not the other way around. Let's stop comparing Stafford to him, he's nowhere near his class of QB. _________________

Did not quote you. I have known your stance on it for a while. You have not swayed.

While I supported the Broyles pick because of the homer in me I certainly understand your perspective and don't disagree. Especially your evaluation of Stafford.
Stand by incoming new receiver in the second or third round.
Can Denard Robinson catch? I hope so because if not it will be him plus a WR. _________________

Sad thing is even with two 2nd round picks used on WR's it's still a need for us. That's on scouting and decision making. _________________

I feel for Broyles. He was just hitting his stride.
Man I hope we start using more 2 TE sets. Without that extra receiver, CJ is going to get even more attention. I really want him to break Rice's record this year. |

We just might see Grew and Heller in a two TE set with Scheffler as a wideout before this season is finished. _________________

Where's Mike McMahon as WR when you need him! Maybe Kellen Moore can line up. |

You didn't want Bowers that is for sure.
Phreak and TL did tho. Funny that LionsFTW did want Bowers in that thread tho. |
Hey now. I said this (in that thread):
| Quote: | | If we're taking him at #13, we checked his knee out. If he's there, and checked out, he's BPA in my book. |

Do you guys not realize we're trying to rebuild the greatest show on turf? It's that we don't trust Stafford, it's just part of the plan. Seriously, look at some of the guys we've drafted in comparison to the guys on that offense. String resemblence IMO. _________________ I <3 Kate Upton and Ezekiel Ansah, just FYI

There are 100s of pages of me taking on this entire forum over Bowers. Did the same with Jahvid, but I backed off like sucker. I hate drafting damaged goods, now stick yourself Tony | That was before the draft. IDOG still didn't want him.
BTW that is funny to read back then. I pat myself on the back. I wanted Peterson by trading up. Phreak wanted Ingram at #13. | Just for butting in:
| IDOG_det wrote: | | flyguy1609 wrote: | ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen both confirm that Da'Quan Bowers' slide out of round one was due to the fact that last year's NCAA sacks leader will likely need more knee surgery.
"He's still got looseness in his MCL, and his PCL," reported Schefter. "Teams think he'll need (more) surgery." On Thursday, FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reported that Bowers has a "bone-on-bone" condition in his already surgically repaired knee, which sounds to us like microfracture is a definite possibility in the near future. Don't be surprised if Bowers continues to plummet today.
http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/203591/report-de-bowers-likely-needs-more-surgery | He could drop past the 2nd... SMH... I hope the Lions get him, I don't care if he can only play 3 years. Those 3 years will be better than what we have now. |
