While that may be true, one or more of them might show us enough to know who to keep/sign for next season, right? _________________ "No one can disguise mediocrity better than Bill Belichick." |

Practice squad would be the way to go, IMO _________________

only current PS WR is Chris Summers.
could be worth a shot. he is 6'5" so at least he could be a red zone target. _________________

| We could throw Webb out there as a receiver. He can't be any worse than the guys we're throwing out there now. |

I'd say give Chris Summers a shot, or maybe Mike Williams? We need a big guy to go up for the ball to help Ponder some more. He's tried it with Jenkins and he just can't do it. _________________

Please stop with this. Joe Webb is a QB.
I think we should cut Burton and promote Summers. He literally couldnt be worse. _________________

At this point I'd rather cut Simpson or Aromashodu. _________________

Plain and simple. He's been practicing and learning as a QB up to this point, and you have to keep it that way. No point in starting from scratch by making a positional change. _________________

Why? We're desperate and Webb was drafted as a WR. God forbid we show any creativity. |

| Kordell Stewart was both a backup qb and part-time receiver. Playing some receiver doesn't mean he can't go back to qb if necessary. |

Yeah, and this isn't madden brah.
Kordell Stewart was Slash for a reason. For his first few years he was effective because the Steelers moved him around, but later he demanded to be a straight up QB. Even then, Stewart was only this WR/QB/RB/KR player for not very long in the NFL at all.
and we've seen what we've got with Webb as this kind of gimmick QB. It doesn't work. The "Blazer" Package burnt out before it even started. Plus he sucked as a WR.
Its important to focus on one position. It hurts the team when you have to waste precious time going from QB to WR, WR to QB and back/forth. I'd imagine it also takes a mental tool on someone to do that.
Webb will be a QB, and to put him at WR right now means throwing away all the work our coaches did with him. _________________

| This thread is suppose to be about free agent WR options. Let's keep it on track, we dont need another conversation about Webb as a Qb. At this point, there is probably nothing to suggest Webb could even be considered at WR. That experiment failed and is over with. |
