It's such a passing friendly league now that it isn't even funny. 4500 yards now is not as impressive as 3000 was 20 years ago. Every defense is going to seem poor statistically. We need to reevaluate our standards of "respectful defense" as far as statistics go.

I think the bigger issue in that game was that TCU decided to make Watt look like a fool on the read option, which is pretty easy to do if the QB knows what he's doing.
