training ran late int he afternoon, and then took the family to see the lights at the zoo (mad house but pretty cool)
What can you guys tell me about how the Alabama vs Georgia game? How did Milliner, Jarvis Jones, Rambo etc. play ?? Ive been talking up Rambo in the 3rd for a while so hopefully he looked good. haha
Anyone else from the other games look good? ?? |
Chance Warmack, the LG for Alabama played amazing. Their whole offensive line bulldozed Georgias front 7 and made huge running lanes all game long. Alabama ran for ~350 yards.
Georgias front seven is designed to play against the pass. Jarvis Jones wasn't able to put on a show because Alabama hardly threw. Alec Ogletree was Georgias most impactful defender, he looked really good. Millliner was OK. |
Warmack, huh, dont let mistake see this. haha
Well, that stinks... was hoping that would be more of a showcase game for Georgia's defenders... I know the game was close...
and I did hear that Alabama ran the ball an extremely high amount of times the second half... _________________

Alabama was bullying Georgia's defense around. Geathers, Jenkins, Jarvis Jones, Cornellius Washington were all getting blown off the ball time after time.
John Jenkins has a terrible anchor for a man his size espcially considering Barrett Jones is not a powerful run blocker and was moving him consistantly.
Jarvis Jones is a terrible linebacker against the run. He was taking bad angles and couldn't get off blocks. He did make one great play when he put his shoulder into the blocker and drove him down the line to make a play in the backfield. It was not very good technique as it looked like he just put his head down and shoulder into him and drove. In the NFL with his head down and terrible use of hands to disengage from the blocker than back bounces it and makes a play.
Alec Ogletree is a phenominal athlete at MLB but much like D'Qwell Jackson he doesn't have the balls to go up and meat the running back face to face in the hole. He gets to a spot and waits for the back to get to him. On one way it showed more than any other has he was flat out owned by the back. He also loves to run around blocks rather than shed them. He will get away with that more than Jackson and move MLBs in the NFL because he is insanley fast and quick, however, it will allow for more big plays than a MLB should give up.
C.J. Mosley was meh. He was not horrible but he's not an impact guy either. Not the greatest open field tackler either from what I saw.
Dee Milliner is also meh. He obviously has tools but is very inconsistant almost like he is day dreaming in between plays ala Eric Wright. Please God lets not go down that path again.
Bacarri Rambo had a few big plays in the passing game and I don't know if it was him or Williams but a few plays I was left asking where the hell is saftey help? Rambo at least has an excuse if he is inconsistant as all projected 3rd rounders are inconsistant. Jenkins, Jones, Ogletree, Milliner and Mosley have no excuse. Some of those are projected Top 5 and all projected 1st rounders. Sorry but I want more out of my 1st rounders espcially Top 5 picks. _________________

Yes, if the brown go offense in the 1st then Warmack gets my vote, defense I say Te'o.
If the browns win these last few games a lot of mocks are to have to change.
And isn't it interesting that Gordon would most likely be the top WR in this draft class and we got him for a 2nd. _________________

so much win right there
as far as offensive player I'd put the ND TE at the top for the Browns _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

Shear lack of offensive talent up top will push him into the 1st regardless. _________________

TE is the ONLY OFFENSIVE spot I can think of that might be up for a 1st round investment though not at it's current top 10 spot. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

Is he a nice TE yes but he isnt someone who jumps out and says ohhhh yeaaa need him _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient
