There's a good 9 players that I want from a combination of these two teams:
Commings, CB/FS UGA
Rambo, FS UGA
Murray, QB UGA
King, WR UGA
Jones, DE/OLB UGA
Warmack, OG BAMA
Williams, TE BAMA
Millner, CB BAMA
Jones, OL BAMA _________________

Aaron Murrays legacy is going to be about him being a stat padder and nothing else. _________________

I like him to, but he's not top 10 material and is not gonna make it to the the 2nd let alone the 3rd. It would take a Mangini style trade down to get where it would be viable to select him. |
If the FO has him best available at our spot of drafting. I dont see why not take him. I trust heckert to make the right choice. And not only that he would impact our line and he creates running lanes. |
Because a true G has never been drafted in the top 10. Ever. |
Chris Naeole says Hi!
Also Hannah, Matthews and Munchak all went Top 10 as guard although they did play OT and C as well in colllege. |
Naeole went 10th overall in '97.
Played for the saints 97-01 and Jacksonville 02-08. Those teams had records of
97- 6-10
98- 6-10
99- 3-13
00- 10-6 (1-1 in Playoffs)
01- 7-9
02- 6-10
03- 5-11
04- 9-7
05- 12-4 (0-1 in Playoffs)
06- 8-8
07- 11-5 (1-1 in Playoffs)
08- 5-11
So, I missed one. There is ONE true guard that has been drafted inside the top ten, and he brought his teams nearly zero success.
Top 10 guard= bust. _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

Jones is a good pass rusher, but him playing the run is meh at best. Combine that with his massive injury potential and smaller size... No thanks
Damn we need Damontre Moore bad. _________________

I watched more video of Moore today and came away unimpressed. I think he busts. He plays really smart but his athleticism was underwhelming to me. J. Jones and Anthony Barr for instance blow my mind with their speed and tenacity. Moore doesn't. _________________

This. |
I'm def not that mad that we don't have a 2nd because obviously Gordon was worth it.
God I hope we can trade down.
Even if we don't get a great return.
Any way we take Millner??? _________________

can we just forfeit this draft, and add all these picks to next year instead? _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

I was not in anyway suggesting that we should use a Top 10 pick on an offensive guard. I was just simply pointing out that it has happened before when you said never....ever. _________________

| I was just saying I love Warmacks game and anyone who is behind him would love it too. Trade down and grab him if that makes you happy. |

Did not get to watch the games yesterday...
training ran late int he afternoon, and then took the family to see the lights at the zoo (mad house but pretty cool)
What can you guys tell me about how the Alabama vs Georgia game? How did Milliner, Jarvis Jones, Rambo etc. play ?? Ive been talking up Rambo in the 3rd for a while so hopefully he looked good. haha
Anyone else from the other games look good? ?? _________________

Chance Warmack, the LG for Alabama played amazing. Their whole offensive line bulldozed Georgias front 7 and made huge running lanes all game long. Alabama ran for ~350 yards.
Georgias front seven is designed to play against the pass. Jarvis Jones wasn't able to put on a show because Alabama hardly threw. Alec Ogletree was Georgias most impactful defender, he looked really good. Millliner was OK. _________________
