TBH I think I left that thread before he posted that, but WOW what an amazing post.
Thank goodness I haven't drowned in my "sea of delusion" yet! That could be dangerous!
But since someone else sig quoted it, I'll stick with what I have (for now), it fits my personality much better
I don't care about making realistic predictions at this point, it's much more fun to imagine us going out there and curbstomping the Pittsburgh Squeelers, because in all reality, I know there's a 98.8543% chance it won't happen as I envision it. _________________

I won't be sorry when the Ravens finish 8-8. |

Ravens will go with Brendon Ayanbadejo inside with Dannell Ellerbe sidelined. Ayanbadejo played well in San Diego in relief of Ellerbe |
Uh oh. There goes any semblance of good play at the #2 ILB spot today _________________

I seriously don't understand why we don't play McClellan there. He did really well last year when Ray was out, and obviously we have enough depth at OLB to not have to rely on him there, and IMO he's a clear upgrade from Ayan. _________________

Brendon played extremely well at ILB for us in 2009 before getting injured. There is some hope that he could play well for us there again. _________________

Precisely. He may not be what we look for against the run, but he's going to be comparable to Ellerbe in coverage at least. So as long as our OL and ETs can do their part upfront in containing the run, then 3rd down situations shouldn't have Ayan embarrassing our defense with his coverage... he was horrid in the preseason, but looked pretty good last game at least. _________________

I'm really hoping that McPhee makes an impact today. Not necessarily because the Ravens need him to but that getting a real pass-rushing threat on the DL would do wonders for the defense. They've played much better recently but I think they could do even more if McPhee is able to play anywhere near like he did in his rookie season.
As for ILB... eww. Ayanbadejo might improve the pass-defense from that position though. |

Agreed on both accounts.
Wow that definitely looked like the Steelers should've gotten the ball. Jacoby looked like he touched the ball outside the endzone.
Torrey Smith... aww... could've been huge. _________________
