I didn't hear you calling for Babin's paycheck when he hit Jackson in his head with his forearm after the play was over. And that didn't even get flagged.
Brooks hit was just because he was playing football and the hit occured. Babins hit was just a dirty cheap shot.

Brooks was already going for the hit when CSIII ducked into it. Only possibility was getting out of the way. If Cecil didn't duck he would of taken the hit right in the chest but he did and Brooks was already commited.
That was just from my perspective. It is not like he saw CSIII and said he was just going to hit him in the head. It just happened when Brooks went for the big hit.

Okay, cool. Babin is an idiot.
I didn't say anything because 1. it wasn't anything that could cause an injury and 2. it offset the earlier (IMO) wrong call on him that wasn't helmet to helmet (which I called him on). and 3. It didn't leave a player motionless on the field for over a minute.

The problem wasn't that he didn't get out of the way, it's that he lead with his helmet. Who cares if he started the tackle before CSIII turned? He started leading with his helmet, which is illegal.

Yeah, by all means, fine Babin for his shenanigans too. He had late hits and dumb plays all over the place today. But the Brooks play was exactly the sort of thing that doesn't belong in the game. |

Why are you continuing to say that the only thing he could have done was get out of the way? That's not even remotely true. He could have easily, from the start, chose to not lead with his helmet. It's simple, really. Don't lead with your helmet - you won't hit someone with your helmet.
