Agreed... So much wrong with this team and time for fans and front office to take notice.
1. Old, slow and non physical on defense.
2. Right tackle is clearly a major need!
3. Brees pressing far to much this season.
4. Defenders play horriable fundamental football!
5. Routinely out coached and the worst at halftime adjustments.

Been saying all season that spags is a good DC but the personnel on this Saints team is years away from being good enough for his system!
This teams defensive personnel screams 34 and that's why we look our best when we are in that formation. This team needs to get more physical and younger.

A pass rusher... You think that the only problem here?
A pass rusher won't help this horrid run defense!
How bout a,
Interior run stuffer
Outside edge rusher
Physical fast linebacker with coverage skills
Safety's that have ball skills and can tackle
Corners who understand press zone concepts
A right tackle who can at least get out of his stance
A center who dosent get man handeled every play
A deep threat wideout that has actual speed
A pass rusher is olny a minor fraction of what Is wrong with this team!

What's disappointing is that this is a roster that is looking at being up to 20 million over the cap in 2013...
Still think a rebuild isn't on the way?

the way this team is built Oline first, I cannot tell you how easy it is to take away the strength of this team (pass). Because Brees cannot drop back and pass with defenders in his face. He is not big ben.
Then If the Oline is address, pass rush. Not linebacker, Not Safety, Pass Rush.
Then I say a C-O-MPLETE overhaul of defense. Cut it like a fish. Get players that can TACKLE!!!
Seriously at this point I would take walk ons, draft picks, rookies I do not care. But Remember in 06, 09 when we brought older players that had something in the tank, something to prove?
Yea no one besides Brees, Graham, White(He tries at least) Ivory, Colston(landing on neck, back in two plays) and maybe that linebacker from ATL we signed. But after that thats it.
Front office needs to go if anything and Oline is major need, slightly over pass rush but not much. |
