I think Scott is pretty useless. Sure, he made some plays today but so would have a lot of guys in his position. He's one of the most replaceable guys on the roster, if not the most. _________________

That's not true. There's been guys that have been moved up to start who did absolutely nothing. It's not like Scott's sacks yesterday came upon the fact that nobody was blocking him. _________________

A couple of sacks when you're told to essentially pin your ears back and get at the QB isn't particularly impressive. Especially if you're a liability on all or most of the snaps when you don't get to the QB. |

It's also not like he's got a unique skill set that allowed him to make those plays. I'm not intentionally trying to take anything away from the good plays he made yesterday but if you put other guys in his same place, we probably would have seen the same result. At one time or another, at least. _________________

FWIW, the Pats held the Dolphins to just 3 of 13 on 3rd down. The best performance by the defense this year on 3rd down. _________________

It will be interesting to see if the Pats can repeat that type of performance against a QB who doesn't miss his WR's by 3 yards.
I know a lot of people are buying into a defensive improvement, but I'm not really buying it (yet). Looking "improved" against the Jets and Dolphins doesn't mean much to me. |

I'll take any improvement I can get over that trash. _________________

We were more lucky than good on defense.
But we were also without our best pass rusher and de run stopper so... _________________

That article cannot be legitimate. I refuse to believe someone whos been playing football as long as McDaniel could say something like that. _________________
