I'm just glad it seems as if he'll be gone. I wanted him gone very badly. _________________

Could be that they realized how big of cap hit they will take or Allen just lost his head in the heat of the moment.
Either way if Allen doesn't cut him he will lost the respect of the team. |
The cap hit for keeping him or cutting him are the same I read. So that is a moot point.
McClain gave the team a reason for suspension. My take, they planned to cut him in hopes a team claims him off waivers and takes his contract (cheap for 5 games). When he Facebook flamed them like a teenage girl, that was detrimental to the team.
So now you suspend for his actions, don't pay him and who knows, maybe get a draft pick in trade in the offseason. _________________

NFL Films' Greg Cosell on Rolando McClain:
| Quote: | | "He's been awful ... arguably the worst starting 4-3 middle linebacker in the NFL. He can't move" |
| Quote: | | "He doesn't play with any quick twitch at all. He's almost plodding in his movements." |

Doubt that would get through the NFLPA, especially if he was told he was cut. _________________

Well the NFLPA didn't help out Pryor why should it stick up for a grown man acting like a Taylor Swift song. |

Pretty disappointed he is just suspended. I know his contract is pretty big, but I wonder what the odds are that a team would give up a 7th for him in the offseason. Maybe a coach who is good with troubled players and guys with attitude issues. If New England still ran a 3-4 D I would be certain thats where he would end up. _________________

This whole situation is a real head scratcher and no matter what happens it seems to have been handled really poorly. _________________
