With the college regular season over, figure this is good time to start making a big board for the Lions. Please note that this is the big board for the Lions which I adjust slightly from who I think are the best overall players (for example, QBs NTs will not be as high here verses if I was making this for the Kansas City Chiefs). I only made it up to 15 because I figure the Lions will pick in the top 15, or atl east one of these players will be available whenever the Lions draft
1 - Jarvis Jones - OLB/DE Georgia
2 - Demontre Moore - DE A&M
3 - Manti Te'o - LB Notre Dame - I was between he and Mingo but I rather have a true product and a leader than a guy with potential
4 - Barevious Mingo OLB/DE
5 - Dee Milliner - CB Aabama - wow it would be nice to get this guy!
6 - Luke Joeckel - OT A&M
7 - Chance Warmack - G Alabama - Ive been craving a big time interior OL for years!!!
8 - Bjoern Werner - DE Florida St
9 - Sam Montgomery - DE LSU
10 - Star Lotulelei - DE Utah - Hey, if he falls to us, why not?
11 - Taylor Lewan - OT Michigan
12 - Xavier Rhodes - CB Florida St
13 - Jonathan Banks - CB Miss St
14 - Tyler Eifert - TE Notre Dame - TE isnt out of the question. Pettigrew has been disappointing and Eifert is the most fluid reciever I've seen from a college TE
15 - Barret Jones - C/G Alabama _________________

I would put a couple safties ahead of Eifert and Jones. Jones is a second round talent and I would rather have Reid, Elam, or Vaccarro than either of them. I also think Dion Jordan should be on there as well as Banks should be higher and Warmack should probably go near the end. _________________

Based on current rankings and not on need I would say the top five should look like this.
!. Jarvis Jones
2. Luke Joekel
3. Manti Te'o
4. Star Lotulelei
5. Dee Milliner _________________

Milliner is too low on both of your guys' lists.
Also, you guys are aware that Jones has a medical condition that may impact him and his NFL career are you not? _________________

I am completely aware of his medical condition, but it doesn't seem to be effecting his draft stock yet.
I think Milliner is a good fit at five. He is really close with about 5 other guys though.
Other sites have him pretty high too.

| I think Dion Jordan is going to fly up the draft boards. Hes very athletic, has great hand usage, and excells at getting after the quarterback. He will need to add some weight but hes very projectable. |

Yeah I agree, his long arms and speed remind me a lot of Aldon Smith on the 49ers. Very raw and in a few years I think he will be a great pass rusher. |

At the moment, my Lions Top 5 would look like this:
1. Manti Te'o, MLB, Notre Dame
2. Jarvis Jones, DE, Georgia
3. Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
4. Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
5. Chance Warmack, G, Alabama
I also love Matt Elam, SS, Florida in the 2nd (and hope he's the pick no matter what our 1st is. |

yeah I agree, I think Matt Elam is going to be a great NFL safety. I will continue to mock him to us in the 2nd round lol. He's one of my favorites this year. |

I agree. Matt Elam S from Florida Dion Jordan, and I think Barrett Jones will prolly fly up draft boards again. I know Jones had a rough game against A&M but his stock has really taken a hit.
Dudes a former SEC 1st team RG, SEC 1st team LT, will likely get SEC 1st team this year at C. Nick Saban has compaired him to HOF OL Bruce Matthews. I personally think he's a lot like current OL Eric Wood who plays for Buffalo and seen time at both C/OG. I really don't think he'll sniff the second round with teams like Packers/Falcons looking for upgrades at C and the interior. Even if he did I doubt the Jaguars let him slip by. |

Two guys that seem to fit their mold - Shawn Williams S from Georgia and Kenjon Barner RB from Oregon.
Every year they seem to wait until the 3rd round to select at a need position and this year I think they will do that with safety (maybe our biggest need). I think Williams is the versatile type so my early money is on him as their S candidate. Barner is Jahvid 2.0 so I could see them go after him if he is there at the end of the 1st/early 2nd.
I think they'll go DE in the first but I could see Williams and Barner go in 2nd-3rd...Werner is my choice if we are sitting around 10-12 |
