How's the Texas Tech football team shaping up for next season?
I'm transferring to Tech in January and followed them really closely this year, and obviously it's disappointing after they beat WVU and TCU how they fell off the map (just like 2011...)
Now Seth Doege is gone, so whose next in line? Do I have any reason to be excited for next season?
While you're at it, hows the basketball team? I know they aren't great or anything when the biggest thing you hear about them is about their coach and how nuts he was, but is there any player whose worth watching? I'm planning on going to at least a few games whenever I'm there in a month so I'm just wondering. _________________

I'm a little nocturnal these days I have class from 6-10P.M. and work from 11-7AM.
Tonight we studied the fine art of terrorism and the use of CBRNE attacks
Chemical
Biological
Radiological
Nuclear(I always think of George W.)
and
Explosives
Very interesting indeed. _________________

Well I wouldn't ever be too excited about any Texas Tech sports team. They live to disappoint. I think our meat judging team is one of the best in the country though. What you should really be excited about are the loads and loads of very attractive women that seem to flourish here. Texas Tech has an uncanny ability to turn any ordinary girl into a crazy bangable sorostitute.
As far as the football team goes. We are not jammed packed with talent. The University of Texas get most of the big recruits in the state of Texas as does OU(see Adrian Peterson). Now with Johnny football at Texas A&M the prospects who don't go to UT and OU will be attracted to the Aggies. TTU is the odd man out. Always has been. Always will be. Here are the QBs currently here:
5 Austin Barr FR 6-4/187 Quarterback Southlake, Texas Colleyville Covenant
16 Michael Brewer RS FR 6-1/183 Quarterback Lake Travis, Texas Lake Travis
13 Brant Costilla JR 6-4/224 Quarterback Dallas, Texas Navarro JC
7 Seth Doege SR 6-1/197 Quarterback Wolfforth, Texas Frenship
15 Clayton Nicholas FR 6-3/216 Quarterback Abilene, Texas Cooper
12 Tucker Tuberville FR 6-0/196 Quarterback Lubbock, Texas Frenship
10 Dustin Walton FR 6-3/229 Quarterback Raton, N.M. New Mexico
I don't know much about the hoops team to be honest. It's the one sport I have trouble relating to. But it always seems to be about the coach. Whether it is bobby Knight or the more recent cray cray coach. _________________

Haha well to be fair Manziel was only a 3 star prospect, so it's not like he was that highly regarded.
And yeah all my sports team exist to disappoint so I'm used to it.
And yes, DCR is very excited to meet some of these beautiful hunnies you speak of. Finally getting out of my parents house should help with that, I think. _________________

Cans if we're drinking at my place (learned from my last party where 5+ bottles broke) and if its anywhere else it doesn't matter to me. _________________

I have to say I like the bottle. Simply because I feel like it comes out faster.
But as DCR mentioned with the can you can take it to the lake, beach, or pool area and the authority having jurisdiction can't say much about it being a problem. _________________

I find my self aroused and fearful of demon possession, at the same time.
What's that?
A strange combination?
You're right, and overall I must say, I don't care for it. _________________

You take that back! I found me a new set of boobies and they needed attention. Now that we're two months in, I can freely post all over this while drinking and ignoring her and she won't hate me.

Michael Brewer will be the QB for the next few years. He's a much different QB than Doege or any other QB we've had here in a long while. He can really run the ball so teams will have to respect his legs as well as his arm. This is the type of QB Tubbs likes to use in his offenses.
On Defense, we are returning some absurd number of starters. We are a very young team on both sides of the ball.
As far as recruiting goes, like DaBoys said, we will never get the top guys in Texas. However, Tubbs is doing some good work outside the state. We recently got a verbal from the Number #1 Dual Threat QB in the COUNTRY in D.J. Gillins from Florida. The future looks promising.
No one cares about Basketball in Lubbock I hate to say. So, can't answer ya on that one. I know Coach Walker has this team playing hard for him and they play a very exciting and fast paced game. _________________
