I was wondering who would remember that
Thought it was someone who read intensely but rarely posted.

Bro, I voted for you. It sucks that's it's 'what have you done for me lately'. But that's the nature of the beast. I made a nice write-up and everything. |
Jroc<333 my man
But yeah bro, I feel like we both suffered the same fate. Have you been around on here recently? I only post when I have spare time on my phone |
Samsies. I took off like 6 weeks. Was too busy with females. I know that sounds made up, but really. I'm never around long enough. But enough people know me and love me....probably. So, it's all good.
Here's what I wrote:
RBrown86. A lot of toss ups for my last vote. RBrown86 gets my nomination because of his commitment to the forum. Although you don't see him as much anymore, he is one of the posters that bridged the gap between the start of a good forum to what we have today. He's a Jim Brown. A man that has paved the way for younger posters today to be able to post the way they do. He's a hardcore fan. (would you question a guy who named himself after a terrible WR?) He has one of the more impressive post count in our family and has made them count. Always in for a good time or a good football converstation. Can easily roll with a great football argument or our classic brand of humor. A poster that represents us perfectly. Intelligent and funny. Something that our forum is built on. And he helped get us here. RBrown86-class of '12. I think so. |
The females eh? Can't go wrong with that bro.
And much appreciated for the write-up man. I should change my name to JBrown32, has a nice ring to it . But in all seriousness, you're right, I have no idea why I named my username after Reggie Brown . I think it's because we all thought he was the next #1 for the Eagles I guess. _________________

First Congrats once again to Phire, Ninja and B60.
Since it's still fresh in everyone's mind like last season I would like to get peoples opinions for next years class and beyond! We all agreed last season that the first two season would induct 3 members each season and then be reduced. My question to you all is what to make the number from here on out?

I also was thinking maybe the current 6 HOF members should do the voting moving forward, as opposed to everyone else, but that is just a suggestion. _________________

Highest vote recipient = automatic
plus the next highest vote recipient who has over 10 votes?
I'm good with just putting in TWO as well.
But really I'm OK with anything _________________

So basically if the second highest poster doesn't have at least 10 votes the induction for that year is only one? If so do we only have people send in their top 2 votes not to water down the pool or continue with their top 3? _________________

I think they should still send in their top 3, to be honest this method was just throwing out a suggestion, I'm not even too sure if it would work
Because a 1 year class would be sad. _________________

That's not a bad suggestion at all TBH. The only problem I have with the current system is how diverse the balloting gets (17) different nominees. However like the real HOF it's voted on by the mass media who hold voting privelages. Hence each person is heard not just 6 or 8 or 10 for the next few seasons.. I'm game for anything to improve the process if it needs adapting not that I think it's necessarily flawed the way it is by asking for everyone to vote. _________________

I think everyone should be open to voting, it's more of a hassle but it gets people involved and will help the sense of community.
If there was an event that only allowed the HoF club to vote it would be like "well why do I care about it if I can't do anything about it?"
I like the format now, but I agree that 3 a year would mean we'd run out of people really quick.
I think pairs could work with the same format of 3 nominees. _________________
