How good is our 2011 draft class looking at the moment?
Aldon Smith - fastest player to reach 30 sacks in NFL history....wow...there is no doubt he benefits from playing with a great defence, but doesnt everybody..... i have never seen a 49er linebacker with better closing speed. Seems to glide on the field...what an outstanding pick by Jim and Co....he was not on anybody's radar let alone a top 10 pick.
Kap- looking great in his first two starts.....has all the tools to be just as dominant as RGIII. He has a strong arm and the ability to extend plays with his feet...both traits that Alex Smith will never possess. I think we have no choice but to go with Kap for the remainder of the year.
Culliver - will eventually take over from Rogers and nail down a starting gig for a long period of time. Has pro bowl ability...not there yet, but well and truly on his way if he continues to progress as well as he has in his first two years.
Hunter - looked outstanding in his limited touches on the field....front runner to take over from Gore in a couple of years. I was looking forward to seeing him get more touches as the season went on and resting Gore before the playoffs. Shame he is out for the year.
Miller - what an underated player this guy is....he deserves to go to the pro bowl in my opinon. Great lead blocker and can make plays in the passing game as well.
5 great picks from the one class... Jim knows his [inappropriate/removed] _________________

No but seriously, this draft is outta this world. We couldn't ask for a more productive draft class. Jim's successful first year is still paying dividends and will continue to for a while. _________________

Anyone else think Daniel Kilgore is being groomed to be the C of the future? Goodwin has played well all year long but he's in his mid-30's and he's relatively expensive (3 years/11 million), especially when we have so many high value FA's upcoming. _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6 |

Which is the better pick between the first two? at this point it is aldon but it will be interesting to see how it pans out down the road.
great job by one of the best FOs in football. I have to commend jed york for turing around our franchise. He knew when it was time to get rid of nolan, he knew when it was time to get rid of sing, he knew when to get rid of scott mcgougalhan - those are all really tough choices that had to be made to get us to where we are at this point. I love that he is actually a fan and cares just as much about winning as a lot of us... GO NINERS _________________
