Meh, I think we're fine at WR. What does he really offer that we need? Especially considering the baggage associated with him. _________________

I won't be sorry when the Ravens finish 8-8. |

| I liked Young a lot last year during the draft process but the recent news concerning his attempted sabotage of Detroit's offense makes it hard to want him in a Ravens uniform. If he's upset about not seeing passes going his way with the Lions just imagine his reaction to playing in Cameron's system. |

I honestly have a feeling we may move on from Q next year. A core of Torrey/Titus/Jacoby, with Doss taking over for Q in the slot, would give us our best Pittsburgh impersonation. _________________ RAY RICE

He's the blueprint of what the Ravens will never have on their team.
Not a chance in hell we even consider it, IMO. _________________

If we move on from Q, we most certainly wouldn't bring in Young to replace him. All 3 of our WRs wouldn't have the most reliable hands. We'd need to bring in a nice possession guy to fill Q's role in the slot.
But, I personally think we hang onto him for another year or two. _________________

We already have a guy who's been sabotaging our offense for 3 years - Cam Cameron. We don't need another.
Not a shot in hell we pick up Titus Young. TBH, any team in the league that picks this guy up is insane. A guy who was willing to sabotage his own team for his selfishness shouldn't play in the NFL. _________________

Wow and to think I was high on a guy that would do something like that.
It seems like we had really good scouting/ personnel development with Torrey because most of those other burners we were looking at have all flopped. _________________

That was the first thing I thought of when I heard he was released. "Ozzie has to be interested, he's from Bama!" But then I looked into McClain a little more cause I was curious as to why he was released and came across the news of his arrest and conviction for assault. I had completely forgotten about that. Immediately I knew the Ravens would not pursue him. _________________

Donte' Stallworth? Ray Lewis? Jamal Lewis?
We don't completely discredit players for having arrests or convictions, we just kind of put them a little lower on our list of "players we'd like to pursue". _________________

Didn't someone say in the News thread that the charges were dropped? _________________

Horrible examples. Donte Stallworth is the only player out of the three that we pursued after their legal troubles. And pursued may be a lofty word to use here. The front office doesn't have a "one strike and you're out" policy. They'll look at each individual case and make a character judgement from there. Although Stallworth had a pretty big legal issue, the front office viewed it as a one time mistake and not a indication of what kind of person he was. They got him on the cheap and felt comfortable that he was a low risk high reward signing.
I highly doubt the same thing could ever be said of Rolando McClain. _________________

If that is the case perhaps they'll check him out, but character is still a big thing for this front office. Guilty or not, they won't bring in someone if they feel he's a knucklehead and likely to go out and do the same thing all over again. _________________

| Rolando has had arthritic issues with his foot too so that's something else to keep in mind. |

I was a huge Young fan before last year's draft, and hes shown tons of flashes on the field.
With that being said though, after hearing what he did in Detroit, I'm disgusted. Do not want. |
