Where are we in terms of waiver order?

IIRC waiver order is determined by last years' record, you do not move based on claims. So we should be around #23 or whatever.

But I know at some point in the year, it changes to record on the year.

Well ignore me then because I was unaware of such a thing.

Yeah the first couple of weeks (I think up thru week 3 to be specific) it's based off of last years final standings, then it updates to current records so we are #10 right now.

The Eagles are in that top 10 so it would actually put the Lions 9th since I doubt the Eagles cut him and immediately bring him back.

He's better than what we have now. Pick him up, release KVB come seasons end, let Avril walk, start Young, and we could upgrade and cut salary at the same time. Just a thought.

I'd love to grab him. KVB is done and Avril might not be back next season. Babin is a perfect fit for this defense.

Have to put in a claim. Allows you to cut KVB in the offseason.

Don't expect Lions to put in a waiver claim on Jason Babin.

Only reason I can think of not to is if we don't have the required cap space.

Or he isn't viewed as being enough of an upgrade for his contract.
