Easily bring him in. History with Schwartz, Scheme friendly, from the west side of the state, went to school at Western. Nice replacement for KVB possibly for a year or two. He is 32 which is up there but he's got 5.5 sacks still this year even.

Relatively cheap as well. I would be ok with it. He should be good with Suh and Fairley next to him. _________________

Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora
One drawback for Babin for some teams will be cap space -need about $2m to claim him. a team like Ravens, who need rusher, wouldnt have it
Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora
I would expect no shortage of suitors for Jason Babin, and with his salary manageable ($4.325 in 2013) waiver claims a distinct possibility
there are a few things i saw money wise for Babin from La Canfora |

| He isn't terrible expensive and still a reliable pass rusher. Clearly changes are on the horizon for Philly. Getting younger it looks like and clearing cap. Michael Vick should be worried. |

I doubt he clears waivers so we need to make a bid for him if we want him. Do we have the cap room available to take on his salary? If we do it's a no brainer IMO. _________________

Doesn't cost much but too many years left on his deal for my liking.
Edit: Guess we could always get rid of him if he isn't productive. If we have the cap to then why not? Better than KVB, Young and Jackson. _________________

Thought the same thing, not sure about the money but I'm sure a few players could be cleared up to make the room. Titus has to be near the chopping block anyways right? It's not neccessarly a traditional trade but I'd drop Titus Young to pick up Jason Babin anyday.
Didn't know he had three years left with 6million the last two. For the remainder of this year and 2013 he's good insurance though. |

I'd be shocked if we give up on Titus this early without even trying to shop him. He's under contract thru 2014 and he's only making like $600,000 a season. _________________

Id bring him in, could be useful to us and give our DE's a kick up the rear... _________________

Not to mention KVB, Avril, and L-Jax could all potentially be gone next season. Willie Young and Ronnell Lewis are the only two under contract at that point. _________________

IIRC waiver order is determined by last years' record, you do not move based on claims. So we should be around #23 or whatever. _________________
