Believe he is really one dimensional and they wanted to save money by dumping his contract.
Would love for us to give him a shot, not like our pass rush can get any worse. |

Pff I don't care if he's one dimensional, I'm tired of watching our d-line let the quarterback sit in the pocket and destroy our horrible corners at his leisure.
I would sign him ASAP. _________________

| I wouldnt mind signing him for a year to see what happens. He is 32 and i doubt we will need them next year. I believe they released for a number of things like money, allowing brandon graham to start and get experience. I wouldnt be suprised if they releasing Asamough next |

From what I have read other than being one dimensional he is kind of a butthhole in the locker room,I dont know if we need that, or if Coach would even let that slide. A corner would help us more IMO _________________

| I will say this for our pass rush. I think we have a bright future stars. I was watching a bit of the replay of the Bucs/Falcons game and Bowers does have some nice moves that just need to be perfected. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt. He is coming off achillies surgery which is incredible that he is back this early, and he has only played about a season worth of pro football. So I think next year he will be a monster on the DL. Look at McCoy. Alot of ppl were ready to write him off and hes playing great in his third year. Bennett has been solid all year hopefully we can sign him in the offseason. And Clayborn will be back and we know what he can do. I think maybe just "renting" Babin till the end of this year to see what he can do is a great idea. What do we have to lose? |

Good pass rush hides a sub par secondary. |

I completely agree. We have a really talented, young defensive line. But most are better in the run-stopping department or they are just injured. Except for McCoy who is constantly double-teamed. I think putting in a pass-rusher will really help us down the stretch. Imagine how much better we would be if we could stimulate a pass-rush on 3rd-and long and actually get off the field. _________________

| [/quote]@PewterReport: Bucs won't be signing Babin, who was released by the Eagles. Age and reputation biggest factors. In case anyone was getting their hopes up[/b] |
