Was his contract too crappy to even net a pick for him? Are the cap savings more important right now?

We will be ditching the only system he's ever had success in, so other teams have the leverage.

Could we have gotten like a 7th? Maybe....but the cap savings, playing time for the young guys, and message it send is about equal to that.

Best answer on that. He's terrible against the run and failed this year in legit the only system that ever worked for him.

Peace out Babin, you were garbage anyway and its good to see the FO not wasting time and getting some playing time for Graham/Curry/etc. It also definitely is a message that we're likely to cut/release half our roster anyways, might as well start at a position where we have so much young talent.
