Babin had 18 sacks last year. Why is the mood in this thread joyful rather than a sense a "Why didn't we try to get anything for him"? Trade deadline is up obviously, but in the offseason.
Was his contract too crappy to even net a pick for him? Are the cap savings more important right now? |
We will be ditching the only system he's ever had success in, so other teams have the leverage.
Could we have gotten like a 7th? Maybe....but the cap savings, playing time for the young guys, and message it send is about equal to that. _________________

All downhill from there.

Maybe the next time he goes to Europe to run with the bulls, he can help with the bailout. |

One trick pony and this pony was on mega bucks. |
Big but not mega bucks.
While I want the wide 9 gone, it's not just the system, it's as much on the players.
People wanted to send a message with benching Babin, we made one now.
I don't know what to think. Either he did something stupid or it was just a message, no clue. _________________

Babin is a megadouche who only cares about himself and his sack numbers. He doesn't defend the run at all and he fails to keep contain every time because he's looking for the stats. He's an idiot off the field too, a selfish, arrogant dude. _________________

I agree. Babin must have pitched a fit about playing time or something of a argumentative nature between the game and now to deserve this. Called out and embarrassed ny the coaching tape, something? You can't tell me it's "just about the money". Has Tapp been anymore productive? Hell several have sucked just as bad if not more. Unless they came to an understanding that he's on his last leg and would appreciate a shot a the playoffs with another team this doesn't make much sense to me , right now. If anything it shows the team and the world what most of have already known for weeks. They've given up. _________________

Jason babin may have been a scapegoat for the lack of effort on the team. _________________

He doesn't play run defense and he's failing in the only system that he can produce in. _________________

Best answer on that. He's terrible against the run and failed this year in legit the only system that ever worked for him.
Peace out Babin, you were garbage anyway and its good to see the FO not wasting time and getting some playing time for Graham/Curry/etc. It also definitely is a message that we're likely to cut/release half our roster anyways, might as well start at a position where we have so much young talent. _________________

It's funny - I remember arguing with (redskins) fans about Babin saying how overrated he was. I feel vindicated. _________________
