We free up $5M in cap space this year, while only taking a $800k cap hit.

Free up $4M next year with a $600k cap hit.

Suprised this move happend now but this is best for all parties. Babin was not coming back next year, so now he gets a chance to catch on with a playoff team and this gives Vinny Curry all the snaps that he needs to get acustomed(sorry if spelled wrong Wink ) to the speed of the NFL Game. Hopefully Wash is next.

Does this signal the coming of the end of the wide 9?

Yeah seriously. Nothing yells selfish tool bag like skipping OTAs to go run with the bulls. For someone to think that way after years of riding on "bust" status is mind boggling. Its a humbling game folks.

I hope they start raiding practice squads now.

Graham should be starting at LDE, with Curry backing up Cole at RDE. Tapp or Hunt will be Graham's back-up.

Awesome. I love it. Cut the dead weight.

I love how DeSean is on IR......hopefully Shady is next. Let our two star players sit the year..don't risk getting them hurt. Bryce Brown can carry the load.

A serious and non-trolling question here.

Babin had 18 sacks last year. Why is the mood in this thread joyful rather than a sense a "Why didn't we try to get anything for him"? Trade deadline is up obviously, but in the offseason.

Was his contract too crappy to even net a pick for him? Are the cap savings more important right now?
