Didn't see a thread for this even though it is a few days old.
Needs to be discussed because LOL Panthers.
I think Gano missed 11 field goals last season. Then he got cut for Billy Cundiff (who himself had been cut for UDFA rookie Justin Tucker in Baltimore). Then Cundiff got cut for UDFA sophomore Cobra Kai Forbath a few weeks ago.
This, along with signing OL Jeremy Bridges, who got cut by Arizona (worst OL in the league) truly showcases how inept Carolina is at the moment.

| I'd say Gano's under-rated. He's classed as a unclutch kicker but he made some clutch kicks for us. He was just apart of a very inept ST unit and a young kicker. |

Yeah, Gano got scape-goated. The STs blocking was atrocious in 2011, and accounted for 5-6 of those missed kicks.
Gano has a very strong leg and he made some clutch kicks as a Redskin, I wouldn't be surprised if they have found a long-term solution.

| I still think Medlock was cut for artificial reasons. Another scapegoat for Rivera. Medlock was pretty solid earlier this season and showed some potential. He cuts him instead of a guy like Nakamura who does nothing but get beat and cost us games. |
