ANYONE FINED IS DIRTY.

So you admit anyone fined is dirty?

See... anything is possible when you remove context!

I am being sarcastic.

a kick to head that was intentional and him staring at is FAR more dangerous and Bunkley wont see half this.

Pathetic double standards

Did Bunkley stomp on a players arm before?

Just curious.

IDK about the Bunkley play or his past... but I would bet his past history will impact his fine as Suh's did

A) If this was an 'accident', why are they fining on an 'accident'?
B) If this was intentional, why are they only fining a meager amount and not suspending?
C) Either way, when they have suspended and fined many players on many occasions before based on the intent of players, why can't they determine Suh's intent on this action?

The hypocrisy of the NFL isn't even amusing at this point.

Explaining the NFL fine system is impossible to accurately do. A good chunk of this history of dirty play you guys have been referring to has been clean hits that have drawn fines. The Cutler shove and the Marion Barber tackle by the hair come to mind. Both legal plays, but both times Suh got fined.

but he has no prior incidents like this. he has had issue with dirty/borderline dirty plays. and one incident of letting his anger get the best of him....but not taking shots like this at players. so that plus no way of clearly or semi clearly knowing he meant to do it means he shouldnt be suspended or fined.

So wait..

"He doesn't have a history of this... except that one time. Oh, and this other stuff that's semi-related. But he's never tried to kick a guy in the crotch before."

no. he has a history of tackling very roughly. dirty or not dirty that is what he does...a lot. he has one time of getting into a fight with another player and stomping him.

he does not have a history of cheap shots. things of this nature. the kicking in the down stairs, hitting people just to hit them, or what have you.

Again, what you're saying is "He doesn't have a history of doing it, except that one time."

shouldnt argue with you since i know when you get something in head that someone is saying theres nothing that can change your mind.....but what im saying is his previous on the field action are not related to this one. the things he normally does is not even remotely close to this...and the ONE thing that he has done is also not really in the same ball field as this.

Suh had numerous incidents, including three unsportsmanlike fines, prior to last years stomp. As well as a well publicized meeting with the commisioner of the league to discuss his play, the fines, the penalties, etc. All before he had played 2 full seasons in the NFL. Anyone suggesting the guy doesnt have a history is

and anyone who still thinks that is what im saying is

I agree with this. You can't say you aren't suspending him because you can't prove a motive and then fine him for the same reason. Man up and either suspend him or let it go. If you think it was on purpose I believe thats a supension worthy offense. If you don't than its over.

Sorry, but I find this "man up" bit absolutely hilarious. It's a disciplinary board there to enforce rules and try to curtail behavior that is deemed unacceptable, but may or may not have been flagged in the actual games.

So if they don't go full throttle in one direction or another they're not "men" or they're somehow less macho? Get real!

People need to stop operating on the belief that absolute guilt or innocence is necessary for punishment. There are varying degrees of commission and as such there are varying degrees of punishment. The aim of the committee (not Roger Goodell, he has nothing to do with it at this point in the process) to make the player cognizant of the fact that the act committed is not wanted and that future similar infractions will result in equal or worse punishment (so the player should take efforts to prevent themselves from committing said acts in the future).

Get out of here with this "man up" business. I don't want what is supposed to be the "court system" of my sports going around with the mindset of being all things stereotyped to "manly", I want them being prudent, equitable, and meticulous.

.......i dont know if it shows up different on other people computers....but let me try again maybe.

suh has a history of dirty play. this is not what he has a history of. his dirty play and history do not correlate with this incident.

No. That would be a penalty for holding.

Kicking a player is the dirty play.

well, even the nfl said they couldn't prove intent, so why is this still a thing?

Makes other fans of teams with questionable players happy they are not only ones.

Maybe they fined him to avoid scrutiny from casual fans? But that's not considered here...
