I hope we get to see Hightower at DE with Jones at DT sometime. I think that's how you get the best players on the field.

Honestly, there isn't a single formation that I'd "love" with Justin Francis on the field.
This loss is a big blow to the Pats pass rush. Cunningham was generating just about the only interior pressure the team was getting. Love, Deaderick and Brace are all awful at getting to the QB and Wilfork can't do it by himself.
I'm not really a fan of his, but it might be worth bringing up Marcus Forston to see if he can provide a spark. I don't see anyone else in house who could help out. I guess Jones could kick inside but that they haven't tried it (correct me if I'm wrong) even for a snap in pre-season tells me they like him better on the edge. Perhaps now that they're left with awful alternatives, they'll give it a shot. |

Not saying he didn't take roids or hgh...but showing a picture from 6 years ago doesn't prove anything. Can easily put on that type of weight and muscle in six years with the trainers they have.

To be honest, I don't see much beyond the usual bulking up guys do when they hit college and then the NFL. A lot of these college DE's are underweight for the pros and add 15-20 lbs in their first 2 years. |

Certainly not different enough to be suspicious, given the quality of NFL strength training programs and the access these guys have to some of the best nutritionists in the country. The Pats always try to bulk up their edge players (see: the failed Markell Carter experiment). One of the problems Cunningham reportedly had last year in the transition to the 4-3 was strength at the point of attack. It doesn't surprise me that he'd spend last season and the offseason bulking up.
I wouldn't rule out steroids (simply because we don't/will never know for sure), but showing those pictures as basis for speculation that it was steroids is pretty silly. |

I don't see what these pictures are trying to prove. Easily could be weight gained with trainers and such. I watched him throughout his time at Florida.
