Purifoy stood out to me during the Florida State game, he seems to have a good combination of size, speed, cover skills, and play making ability. How does he project as a prospect?

I think he is in the discussion for the top-CB next year. Obviously a lot depends on who declares. But right now I think he is a top-10 talent at CB

Amazing STer, excellent cover skills and a top notch athlete. I think he's a first round lock next year unless he regresses or catches the injury bug.

Him and Roberson are both top corner prospects next year.

He's a stud. He along with the rest of that secondary (Elam, Evans, Roberson) are a big reason why the defense and the team as a whole have been so successful. Roberson came in with more hype, but Purifoy has shut down just about everyone this year.

Purifoy is a stud.
Roberson is more well know to this point but I think Purifoy is better.

Purifoy is better, but Roberson is no slouch. He played great against FSU. Nice size, good athlete, and pretty good ball skills. Good luck throwing against these two next year.

Purifoy's having an excellent game today. He's the best tackling cornerback in recent memory. He's not a hitter like Tyrann Mathieu, but he's one of the surest tacklers in college football, an elite athlete too.

Reminds me a lot of Ike Taylor coming out of college except he's a big school guy.

Were we watching the same game? Dude missed 3 tackles that resulted in first downs. He looks like the third best corner on the team.

zero career interceptions, 5 pass break up.

Great ST player. Not a good Corner. 4th best cover Corner on his team. Roberson,Watkins,Hargreaves are all better cover corners

I think you are underrating Purifoy's abilities in man coverage. He has size, strength/physicality, hip fluidity, and great speed. I have seen him lock down on good receivers.

What he hasn't shown to this point is a knack for getting his hands on the football for INTs.

Purifoy made a big impact vs. Arkansas this week earning SEC defensive player of the week honors.

He's still a first round pick for me, love his combo of physicality, size, and elite speed/fluidity.

He may not be the most polished CB or have outstanding hand-eye skills when the ball is in the air, but he's worth a Day 1 pick based on his ability and ceiling in the NFL.

At CB especially, I would take an elite athlete with great measurables and sky high potential rather than someone more technically sound or with a few more INTs on the stat sheet but with limited upside when you put him against NFL receivers.
