Just a few questions...Why would we cut Breaston and sign Murphy to save just a little money...Breaston would start on that team you put together and having a dependable veteran would be good for a rookie QB.

Why are Hudson and Asamoah backups?

I'd rather keep Albert and draft a QB high. If anything Winston needs to go on our OL.

Side note: How would everyone feel about Alex Smith in a Chiefs uni?

No, No, No. Keep Albert if we franchise him. If Bowe walks and we hold the 1st overall pick, I'd love for our first two picks to be Geno Smith and Tavon Austin.

I was about to update my draft wish list for next year. That is exactly who I want at 1 and 33.

Also in no way has Travis Daniels earned a spot on this team next year. You could tell today Manning was going after him when he came in.

Being smith in. He is due 8.5 next year. I say we eat it for a year and see what happens. To answer Samis question.

Draft Te'o. Keep Albert he's already a sure thing. I like pick of Glennon in the 2nd. Get some safety help. Don't mind the manager picks or the head coach. That's my wish list right now. Smith or Mallet would be my dream serenio but Te'o at 1 just makes in both realms

I can only think that this stems from a massive misevaluation of our offensive line. Asamoah is our second best lineman so far this year. Winston has underperformed thus far, and aside from Allen's rookie woes, has been the weak link on the line (if there is a weak link, at least.) That, and he's never consistently played RG, and was mediocre when he briefly filled in at that spot. Even if we lose Albert, the line of Stephenson, Allen, Hudson, Asamoah, and Winston is not bad. Joeckl would be a MASSIVE luxury pick at FIRST OVERALL. You don't do that. It is just a terrible idea.

Doesn't even have to be a QB there, necessarily. I'd like one, but I understand some people's reservations on the position in this draft. But you don't take a player first overall at a position with a great starter, a solid starter, and good depth, when we are a team this bad.

Smith would be a liability with a lesser coaching staff, and even if we have a new bunch, that would concern me. Harbaugh does a phenomenal job at working around his inabilities.

I'd be down with this even if Bowe doesn't walk. I love what Austin could bring to our offense, and the chemistry he already has with Geno would be a big plus.

you want to reach with the 1st overall pick after getting rid of a dam good player at that same position is this by any chance Scott Piolli throwing out some ideals on the public? on top of that you want to let go of our#1 wideout making Baldwin the top dog with his 2 years 37 receptions great ideal we keep this up and we could be picking #1 overall every year

I'm more concerned about our new #1 overall QB. You can't tell me having Smith around even for a year wouldn't help him adjust.

I really liked how NY brought David Carr in when Eli was young. Alot of people weren't on the Eli bandwagon his first couple seasons. Now I don't think it was all Carr, but I think it helped massively in the beginning.

Yeah that would be a rebuilding mock and the team, roster wise, would be worse. What's the point of getting picks for Albert or Bowe, then by the time those young guys we get for them materialize our best players would be past their prime.

Joeckle is not really a reach at #1. He'd be the Dolphins Jake Long pick. He's a great player, we just need a QB way too much to take him.
