This would be based on Steelers drafting in the 18-22 range.
1. Dion Jordan OLB Oregon
2. Alec Ogletree ILB Georgia - May drop due to suspension early in the year.
3. Larry Warford G Kentucky or Dallas Thomas G/T Tennessee
4. D.J. Swearinger S South Carolina
5. Devin Taylor DE/OLB Would need to beef up from 270 to 290 to play 3-4
DE for the Steelers and replace Kiesel. Time to let Ziggy go.
6 .Brodrick Brown CB Oklahoma
7 Montori Hughes NT Tennessee-Martin |

Jordan plays more of an 3-4 OLB for Oregon. He's a speed rusher with a big
wing span. He is also good in coverage. We need to get back to the sack/fumble splash plays again. |

Ogletree is Timmons Jr. amazing athlete. No instincts. Has played a single season at a high level. I do not think the Steelers can afford to have two ILB who take false steps in running plays and do not take on blocks.
Devin Taylor's hips are waaaaaay to stiff to be a OLB. He would take a year or so to bulk up and be a decent DE.
I think if they pick 18 or 19 they trade up to have a shot at Bjoern Werner or Sam Montgomery. If not I would not be surprised to hear Cordarrelle Patterson's name or trade back and get Jesse Williams _________________

I agree with Kethnabb.
We have been flirting with the idea of moving Ziggy to inside past few years because his size may match better against smaller and bulkier O-linemen. We thought the move of Colon from tackle to guard wouldn't happen but it did, so we have to give this idea a benefit of doubt.
Love Dion Jordan in 1st. Yes he's 6'7" but plays like a 3-4 OLB, amazing hands and length of arms can help him against elite left tackles. Got to see how the coaches feel about Worilds' future though.
Ogletree, no. Just.. no. If we let Mike Wallace walk, I would like other offensive weapon somewhere in 2nd-3rd. a TE or tall WR, Plaxico Burress is probably here for short-term, time to looking ahead. Heath Miller has been excellent, but behind him is really sub-par.
Like Warford, but don't see where he fits in the future for our O-line. We are going to keep either Ramon Foster or Willie Colon, where does that leave us with Warford? We may be pulling the trigger because of the injuries we saw today but mind you, depth aren't the problem with us, just a coincidence of bad streak. Starting next season with a clean health bill, our depth looks very promising.
Don't know too much about Swearinger but like the idea of a safety at this round (or 3rd round for what counts).
Devin Taylor, nope. He's a 4-3 DE.
the last 2, doesn't really matter to me but I do think it's time to find ourselves country's best special team tacklers/players even if those players will be a career special team players but at this point, we just need much more disciplined and better tackling players.
Not bad mock, but this mock is a strong reaction from today's game.
Just my 2 cents, but I think Steelers may be looking at a QB between 5th-7th. We just cant rely on veterans and say they will get the job done. Well, obviously Haley/Tomlin Co. doesn't trust them enough to throw more early on and that hurts us. |

This will be a oh-my-god weak draft for the QB position. By that I mean that even some underclassmen come out it will still be weak. They could get someone like EJ Manuel or Sean Renfree in the 5th round. _________________

Um no. Not gonna happen.
Your 1st 4 picks are all 1st & 2nd round prospects. Jordan may go top 5.
Ogletree is more of an anomaly but his athleticism should warrant Timmons like interest. Warford and Swearringer are borderline 1st/2nd round types.
It would be great if that happened but for me thats more than a pipe dream. _________________

| Yeah, where jarvis jones show is a true talent as 3-4 olb, instinctive but dion jordan's athleticism are very attractive and after combine he can sneak in as top 10, maybe top 5 |

Im sold on the thought that the steelers will neither select a ILB or OLB in this draft especially earlly, although every ILB IMO thru the 4th round is a better prospect than Sean Spence.
