Reports suggesting Louis is out with ACL tear, could be an 8-10 month recovery...
Feel so bad for the guy. So unfortunate. _________________

Although Louis was one of the brighter spots on the line this year, collectively the o-line group as a whole has been below average so I wouldn't exactly hit the panic button after hearing this news. The line played fairly well yesterday even without Louis so hopefully Carimi steps in at guard with no big drop off. _________________

I just heard lance lewis was placed on IR.
Sorry Bears fans, Lions fan here. I know I'd be steaming mad about how this injury happened. That was a cheap, cheap shot, and your running game and defense was the best hope for a NFC north team beating the Falcons, Giants or Niners in the playoffs, so I hope at least that Forte, Briggs and Tilman get healthy for the postseason. I know Suh has had a dirty play that has been getting more attention, but I will personally call the NFL office if Suh gets a suspension and Allen does not, it was nowhere near as malicious. |

That hit by Allen was a joke and I heard that Izzy called him out at the press conferences today about it.
That should have been a penalty, it will be a fine and suspension would not be out of line.
He blindsided him and that was suppose to be a point of emphasis.
I hope that someone returns the favour in 2 weeks. _________________

| As much as there is nothing positive about losing our best Olinemen you have to think it helps up resign him in the offseason as well as giving us a chance to look at Carimi inside to see if he has a future there…this is a massive loss tho. |

| Allen should be suspended for that hit. That's as illegal as it gets. It would make sense to suspend him for our game against them. |

Greg Aiello just tweeted saying that Suh will not be suspended, but a fine is still possible. _________________ Martellus Bennet highlight video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lP8fHN53t0 |

I am excited to see Carimi at RG and see if we can salvage some value from him.
I think we will resign Louis for 1 year 2 million and let him prove he is healthy. Keep in mind an ACL is easier for a big boy to come back from as he does not have to cut as sharply. _________________

Just a Tip 'O the Cap from the NFC N to the Texans. _________________ "I have to keep playing so people over 40 will have somebody to root for on Sunday afternoons." George Blanda who played until he was 46 |

I lost all respect I had for Jared Allen after seeing that garbage. I can't believe there was no penalty, and of course, vikes fans claiming it was a legal hit. Get out with that.
| Quote: | | According to the NFL rulebook, launching at a defenseless player is illegal if the offender (1) leaves both feet prior to contract to spring forward and upward into his opponent, and (2) uses any part of his helmet to initiate forcible contact against any part of his opponent's body. |
Allen breaks both of these. The 1st isn't even remotely debatable. If you haven't seen the hit, heres the link...

Dirty hit and he needs to pay for it. He launched, he went helmet to helmet. He's not a dirty player IMO, but that was against the rules and he needs to pay for it. _________________
